  4. That’s an iguana – very popular as pets. They are herbivores. He probably wants the banana more than the Kix.

  13. dragoness says:

What a lovely way to expose your kid to salmonella. Lizards are awesome, but they don’t belong at the dining table.

This has been a public health service announcement. *the more you know*

    • buksi says:

I’m guessing the parents are fairly well educated on that matter since the two have literary grown up (to this stage anyway) together. There are standard precautions every reptile owner worth it’s salt is aware of.
Eating poultry or eggs exposes you to salmonella as well but people don’t die daily of eating an omelet because most of us have common sense.

      • anom says:

yeah, but you prevent it by cooking the eggs or the chicken well enough to kill the salmonella. i wouldn’t try that w/the lizard–pet or not!

    • Snakey says:

I agree. Reptiles and birds make wonderful pets, but they’re only for responsible families. Keeping them off the table and cleaning up after them always is a big rule.

  14. in the groove says:

Uh-ohsss – KIX product placement mebbe fail??

  15. Compare the Iguana with the Monitor. The monitor does not have the spiky row along the spine and the lower jaw pouches.

  16. BEN1000000 says:

    WTF o_o

  17. J says:

That child will either be the succesor to Chuck Norris or take over the world with a lizard army

  18. Lori says:

How irresponsible to allow a reptile to eat crap like cereal – loaded with sugar and junk is NOT healthy at all for their digestive system.

  19. Deanna says:

dis be rong rong rong, Kix iz nazty creal.

  20. sherryfannon says:

Thanks to chicky82 for the link to the other growing up video. Very sweet video. This is one of those animals that freaks me out and scares me for no logical reason but I still love him and am thrilled that he has a happy home with a family who appreciates him.

  22. “Go away mom, the lizard eats cereal every morning.”

  23. Ruise says:

    Kid tested, dragon approved!

  24. Cheese says:

Silly humans, Kix are for lizards!

  25. Eris says:
