My Zoe is part meezer but thankfully she doesn’t has this meow. She does cute little quiet chirp-like meows.

You know, I love this website, but WHY do the posts have to be written so ridiculously? Sometimes it is too hard to try and figure out what someone is actually trying to convey. Especially when it is apparent that English isn’t a strong suit to begin with- this ‘language’ turns to utter nonsense. It takes away from the humor that is trying to be wrought!

It is one thing to modify a few words, but these people seem to think that you have to change every single word. It really makes it hard to read.
And half the time, the way they change it completely messes up the message: the word DID becomes ddi. The looks like die to me. Not did.

It’s playing with language, with phonetics and, in some ways, the ridiculous structures to be found in English. You can lead a Cheese-person to a dictionary but you cannot make them stop having fun.
Yeah, I don’t even bother attempting to read comments that are 99% cheezburger-speak. It’s too tedious. I know I’m probably missing out on some funny stuff, but I don’t have the patience to decipher it.
Exactly. It’s not to bad if a one or two sentence comment is in mewspeak, but 3 or 4 sentences or more… I might bother if the commenter is telling us how to find buried gold, but I’m sorry, your opinion just plain isn’t worth the decoding effort.
I think of it as inconsiderate people self-selecting their opinions to be ignored.
Personally, I like it much more than the abbreviation-speak of various electronic devices. You know: wtf, omg, brb, lsd, lsmft, nrbq, xzlvpt, etc.

Just wanted to say that the audio on this video got a reaction out of one of my two dogs and two out of my four cats.
Chopper (the dog) actually checked the bathroom in her search for the source of the sound–I think she heard the sound of the shower running in the clip and recognized it as a shower.
Or animals really DO have a secret language that humans can’t understand, and one dog heard some strange cat yelling something about a shower, so went to go check. The other dog was like “that’s just a video, you idiot.”

My ginger kitteh Red gets all perturbed when my sweetie takes a shower; it’s like Red doesn’t understand why he’d VOLUNTARILY stand in the rain!

I have adopted a stray cat. It took him quite a while to get used to his new home. The first time he saw me take a bath, he started yelling and running around, he touched me with his front legs as if telling me to get out f this horrible place! When he understood that it’s not working, he went to call my mum
That was so funny. Now he is calm when I take a shower. Probably thinks that humans are so weird. Of course spit is much better!

My furries usually ignore me when I take a shower, but my pretty little Zia likes to get comfy on the bathmat and wait for me. Nothing quite like fur between your wet toes!

Are the kitties trying to save the human from the evil shower, or save their ears from the bad singing coming out of it?
Those are some really loud, really angry Siamese cats.
My Meezers used to do this. We had built in cubby-shelf-things and they’d lay on the shelf and meow at me. Every once in a while one of them might peek around the curtain, I guess to make sure I was still alive?
One of my Maine Coons gets quite perturbed and does this when I’m in the shower. Her meow is the typical high-pitched Maine Coon meow, though, and nothing like these guys!
She will even, on occasion, hop into the shower with me, just to make sure I’m okay…lol.
A Keow (who’s now over the Rainbow Bridge) named Moonzie would sit on the closed toilet seat while I took a shower, rarely he’d peep in the back of the shower at me but once any spashes came his way he’s retreat.
When the shower was done he’d roll around on the toilet seat & chirp at me & start purring away, he was happy, I was back with him, after I dried off he’d lead me out of the bathroom.
Occasionally he’d also lay in the bathroom sink too, it was over a radiator & was nice & warm in the winter
I never understood why my cat would act like she wanted to get in the shower with me, pace around and meeeooowww until I read these posts. I’m not sure who is nuttier..hoomins or kittehs.
And then there was my meezer Frank Sinatra (old blue eyes) who used to get in the shower with me and sit at the far end of the tub. And all the meezers I’ve ever known were talky.
I doubt they’d have done that if their food dishes had been full.

I had two ferrets who instead of trying to “save” me in the bath tub, were fascinated by the water instead. Next thing I know I feel a “blop!” right behind me, reach back there and picked up a very soaked ferret. I set him down on the bath rug and he bounded off with glee. Ferrets are weird.
