THIS was NOT even remotely funny. I beg of the people at ICHC to PLEASE look at your “funny” videos or photos with an educated and common sense eye. There is something terribly wrong with this cat and he/she is no doubt suffering. I will have to delete my account with ICHC if I keep seeing videos or photos of animals that are obviously sick or being mistreated in any way. I will also share my feeling with my friends in the animal activist community, which is quite large. There are far too many sweet and funny photos and videos that can be posted. The video on this day’s e-mail about the refuge in Argentina was a super example, only to be followed by something disturbing. There is NO humor in this.

Never mind things like this being posted, trollish comments such as yours and other caretroll comments or any troll comments of the like, lately ICHC has been flooded with trolls which we do not want.
And just because the cat is in that pose does not necessarily mean that he or she is in any pain. Try researching your information before you post any more inane comments.

Lol-er’s Note: This kitty is in mid-lunatic mode, that wonderful phase where a cat jumps and bounces on and over everything. Numerous of my cats have gotten themselves into (and out of) just this position, (on furniture, boxes, railings, you-name-it), catnip not required. His ears are back, possibly he has heard something, but more likely he is about to give that post the scratching of its existence as he pretends it is prey of some kind, all the while, he is planning the direction of his dismount. Believe it or not, the kitty pictured is enjoying himself immensely.

1) The cat is a he. All orange tabbies are male; the fur color is a genetic abnormality that occurs only in males. (I wish I were making this up; I’m not.)
2) The cat is not suffering. It’s fine. It’s scratching on the wood and getting ready to do a barrell roll. My cats do this all the time.
3) Orange tabbies are notoriously insane. If this one wants to stand on its head, who am I to judge?
After checking a veterinary site, it seems female marmalades do occur, but only about 20% of the time. As for insanity and colour, the most lunatic cats I’ve owned had some Asian in them, such as Siamese or Bombay. In Mishi’s case, both. She was a happy, lunatic, freight-train…and slick, shiny, solid black.

To my mind, asian kitties have an even grater tendency to be smart and talkative than any tendency to insanity.
My personal theory is that smart kittehs are the ones to get up into the antics. More average ones are content to sit there an purr rather than create havoc.
