I never had mac & cheese as a kid — only started to eat it in college, and it was the Kraft stuff. I haven’t found a “real” mac & cheese I like yet, but I love the Kraft stuff.

Mac & cheese was a staple dinner when I was growing up, and I can’t yet reproduce the flavor of Mom’s mac & cheese even though I’ve been trying for 20+ years. I know the basic ingredients – and I’ve even learned how to make a roux in which to melt the cheese – but there’s something missing.
And yes, mac & cheese, a nice salad and some warm bread remains comofort food for me.
