  2. keshet says:

    teh oranj wuns is poysun!

  3. kittehslavehooman says:

    itz hot lava……it burnz…

  4. BoobooBlue says:

:( Is there something wrong with this kitty? It looked very disoriented after it fell? I didnt find this video very amusing.

    • keshet says:

The kitteh looks a little wobbly to me too. Kittehs, like people can have neurological issues which make them unsteady, but it does not mean they cannot have a full and wonderful life.

    • BCT says:

      Kittehmine.

      • kathy says:

My kitteh also has cerebellar hypoplasia. I could not put her down and love her more after 9 years of clumsy. She fetches!!! My goggie don’t.

    • lumpygravy says:

      I agree with you, I think they spun the cat around to make it wobbly; could be it was on medication…but either way, I didn’t find it amusing;
I am concerned for the cat, that did not look normal.

    • inkytator says:

@BoobooBlue – yes, I feel the same way. Kitty is not 100% and this video is no amusing. I think it should be pulled.

    • cstaats says:

This kitteh has a disorder called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, causes jerky movements, tremors and generally uncoordinated motion. He’s afraid of the “causes” bracelets and this was just a small clip from a longer video of him attempting to overcome his fear of the bracelets

    • MiniMoppel says:

Aifink kitteh iz recu.. reko…wecov…getting bettur from a aneth…anesse…anesze….from a blackout.

    • kfoxy says:

its called dandy walker syndrome. he doesnt even notice he has it

    • pm says:

I think this video should be removed unless the owner states that the cat has a neurological disorder. Otherwise, this cat was recovering from anesthetic and should not have been outside a carrier until it was fully recovered. Unfortunately, vets sometimes let cats go home and recommend they stay confined until they are recovered – but if the owners let it out to stagger around, that was kind of dangerous. NOt kewl.

      • Maj says:

Mah kitteh no has nurologikal probz an he does teh wobblers. Y ebbrywun has to be troll? Do u tink dat Icanhas wud post somefing dat shows kitteh in dayngr? Stop wif teh analyzin and enjoy teh cyoot. Sheesh

        • Mishkakitty says:

I like your thinking Maj =) Cute video…Reminds me of how one of our kittehs responds to EVERYTHING –> *toy laying in the same place for days* OMG WHAT IS THAT?! *poke* oh, toy… *freak over toy, ignore, repeat next day*.

Too bad people over-analyze everything, though. *sadness*

      • Julie says:

I agree, pm. I thought it looked like recovering from anesthetic too. It’s not funny to laugh at the cat for something like that, and it should have been watched to ensure it doesn’t hurt itself until it’s steady again. They don’t understand when they are like this that they can’t do everything that they normally do. Kind of sick to just video this and consider it a source of amusement.

      • noms says:

i think you are wrong… My brother has a cat just like this and he didn’t just come home either… I think you should look into it… You are not wise.

    • Anon says:

I think this cat has the same thing as the famous youtube cat Bobbi. He has a balance disorder but has a healthy life otherwise. :)

      • Nayola says:

I can’t help but think this was adorable, but I also feel sad for the poor cat though. But it sure seemed they were having a good ‘ol time. =]

    • RevWaldo says:

dokta sez ai gots dane bramage

    • rogerbix says:

The cat has Cerebelar Hyperplasia, according to the other videos on the original youtube page. And yeah, kinda distasteful to make fun of a cat with a brain disorder.

      • jazzy says:

Although I understand that some may consider it to be distasteful to laugh at this kitty because she has a disorder, the reality of it is, she is behaving the same way my healthy cat does when she finds a plastic milk carton ring on the floor, (if a bit more wobbly) and I laugh then too. Just because she has a disorder doesn’t make her actions any less adorable or funny.

        • Ohai jazzy! I agree with you. I can’t speak for everyone but I am pretty sure that most of us are laughing at how cute the kitteh is just being a kitteh, not laughing at the kitteh’s disability. The kitteh seems to be having a good time “stalking” its “prey”! My kitteh isn’t disabled and I laugh at her adorable behavior all of the time!

        • Villy says:

I have to agree. My cat acts the same way when she comes across my various tubes of chapstick, or any of my hair ties. The only difference is she doesn’t wobble.

No one is laughing at the cat because it has a disorder. We are amused because of kitty’s adorable kitty antics. There are TONS of videos on the ICHC network of kitties and doggies investigating things like milk rings, mirrors, door stoppers, etc., and it’s all funny and cute! But it’s only okay because they’re healthy? That’s like saying you couldn’t be amused by the cute antics of a child with a disorder. We aren’t laughing at something that is CAUSED by the disorder and absolutely canNOT be helped. We are laughing at a kitty doing what kitties do.

          Get over yourselves.

    • Mcisle says:

Yeah, and before it fell too, almost like his back legs and hips were just stuck in that position, stiff…I noticed it too.

  5. JAWGS says:

I wondered about the kitty, too. I looked at the channel for the person who originally posted the video and the cat has cerebellar hypoplasia. According to the comments, this is an old video and kitty is doing much better with the walking now.

  6. craigger says:

kitty has a mental disorder that messes with its sense of balance, poor kitteh

  7. Nancy says:

This kitten has neurological problems. It’s NOT funny. I hope the poor little thing has been seen by a good Vet.

  8. Pixie says:

Nawt funneh…dis iz sadz adn ai creid mai iez owt!!

  9. keshet says:

A little something to help give some perspective:

  10. panthercat38 says:

YAY! It’s an ASPCA bracelet! >^_^<

  11. Smogzilla says:

poor kitty has been into the eggnog

  12. Pezz says:

This cat is demonstrating very characteristic intention tremors due to cerebellar hypoplasia likely secondary to in utero infection with feline panleukopenia virus. Not trying to be a smart @$$, just clarifying for those wondering.

  13. China's Human says:

Unfortunately this kitten has Cerebellar hypoplasia – they can live a fairly normal life if the kitteh and their human learn to make some adjustments through out their lives.

  14. Bert says:

It looks like this poor kitty has a birth defect that effecting his/her brain, in an area that controls coordination of movement.

  15. RockTripod says:

Did anyone else notice there seems to be something horribly wrong with that poor cat? I just feel bad for it. It looks like it has nerve problems.

  16. Tarantino says:

If I had to guess, I’d say Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological disorder which makes them always look rather drunk. Unfortunatly most of them get put down, so as much as it’s scary to see him discombobulated, it’s heartwarming to see he’s got a home. Go kitty go!

    • Gwynn says:

Yes, kitty has cerebellar hypoplasia; is sad, but not something to get upset over. (I looked through their other videos and they say it there. There’s even a video of the kitty walking down the hallway to get cuddles.)

People should really do a little snooping before QQing.

      • BoobooBlue says:

I understand that things like this can happen to animals but it does sting my heart a little to see it’s struggle. Nonetheless, I’m happy kitty is trying to play and is so curious about the bracelet.

        • Tabbymom Jen says:

Kitteh haz a happy, a furiend, an a toi. Lyfe iz gud.

          • keshet says:

            troo dat!

  17. Tanya says:

That kitty has CH!!!! What a doll!!

  18. Tonya says:

My kitty has the same exact condition but it comes and goes. I can’t afford to go to the kitty nuerologist the vet referred me to so if anyone knows what this kitty’s condition is called PLEASE POST.

And I can say my kitty has a great life; I just can’t have a tall cat tree in case she has one of her spells, she could fall and hurt herself

  19. Jack says:

I don’t think this is funny at all.

    • DRH says:

The cat is living a happy life, so who cares if someone laughs at him? I’d rather wobble around and be laughed at then be dead.
I have a lovely kitty named Sandy who has this same disease and I hated how so many people say “Shouldn’t he be put down?”
You might as well laugh, because these special kitties are some of the happiest out there.

  20. smashemz says:

It looks like cerebellar hypoplasia. Here is an older video showing a precious kitty who has it:

  21. MomKat says:

‘Wobbly’ kitties are very sweet and gentle. The vet that spayed my kitty had one for adoption. They are often euthanized because of their condition, but if you are willing to deal with their needs, they make good pets. They should no more make you sad or angry than a handicapped child should. The video showed that the kitty was just as silly and playful as a ‘normal’ cat. I agree with Tarantino – I’m glad the kitty got a good home and a happy life with love and acceptance.

  22. KittyLove says:

This kitty has been drugged with something. NOT funny at all!

  23. KristenBode says:

My kitteh walked like this once after bringing him home from being under anesthesia for a surgery :/

  24. MsMuffet says:

I am glad kitty has a home. We have three “special” kitties, none with that problem, but we have one that is highly allergic to bug bites, and also has chronic sinus problems. She goes to the vet periodically for treatment to relieve what he can. We also have a cat who we got from a mama feral who was born with deformed front legs (the one with deformed back legs died at two days old) I splinted one leg which was missing a section of bone with wood match sticks until the two parts grew together. Now 4 yrs, she can use all her legs even though one front one is shorter. The last is a blue eyed white baby boy born to a feral barn cat. He’s deaf. I got him from Craigslist. Making arrangements for neutering as of yesterday.

  25. Caz says:

    Kitteh down!

  26. DavidB says:

Is teh kitteh OK? Iz abbit wawbully on fut.

  27. Vampgecko says:

My boyfriends parents have a cat with this condition, but her’s is more extreme. She is almost 10 years old and loves going outside. She was born that way and gets up and down stairs in the most interesting way. They have little carpet scraps nailed to all the stairs so she has something to grip onto. She spends her days laying in the sun outside or snoozing under a shrub and uses the doggie door to come in at night. I will admit the first time I saw her it broke my heart, but now knowing her for 3 years I think she is the most interesting cat. She does everything her cat friends do, it just sometimes takes her a little longer to get there to do it. It might seem like a sad video to watch, but really it is a happy cat doing something normal like playing. Also it warms my heart to see this happy kitty in a home that was willing to deal with its special needs.

  28. Jack Deth says:

  29. Sixx says:

cute kitteh!!! and big BIG thanks to the peoples who adopted this kitteh and gave a loving home. Many disabled kitteh’s get put to sleep because people don’t want to deal with disability. Happy kitteh makes me cry tears of joy!

  30. Trielle says:

I thought it was cute. Yes it may be sad to have something like that, but they don’t think about it the way we do. If they have a warm bed, a full belly and a clean place to poop they are happy. If they have loves then they are even happier.
Be happy that he has a happy home and people who loves him.
I would takes him in a second, he would love my Sammy :)

    • iluvchocolate says:

Trielle I have to agree so much I’m not even using LOLspeak :) I have a 12 year old son who is autistic, and oddly enough he comes to mind while reading all these posts about the kittehs. He is verbal and functions very well, but he’s a little…odd. Some people who interact with him think he’s weird and say someone must have done something to him, either as a child or before he was born, or that he is spoiled rotten and just needs harsher discipline, but my family is often even grateful for his condition, since he has no perception of evil, corruption, manipulation, etc…he is very bright, mostly cheerful (as cheerful as a 12 year old gets) and just like this kitteh, he only needs food, shelter, and his loving family in order to thrive. (although a stash of Legos and Pokemon make things just that much better LOL)

      • Trielle says:

Awww, that made me happy :)
I agree about the legos and Pokemon, I know they make me happier lol
They think my nephew is a high functioning autistic. He is basically happy go lucky most of the time (except when his brother hogs the xbox lol). So I know what you mean. They see the world different and I try to look it the world the way they do. In a more innocent way.
Your son is a lucky little guy :)

        • iluvchocolate says:

  31. tigerhelo says:

i think that there was a shock collar on that cat. you can buy them at
Walmart to keep your cat from escaping or peeing on the carpets. He isnt afraid of the bracelet, he is afraid of the carpet. He has been shocked before there and didnt fully learn his lesson. He wanted the bracelet so he went for it anyways. He got shocked, droped then to the ground. He was twitching in the video because he was nervous. Horrible stuff.

  32. Panzer says:

Alright, who let the kittie lick the LSD stamps?

  33. Purrkat says:

Aw de por kitteh no rite. Et seck?

  34. barbarius says:

ayl getz you orangy! noo noah izz a trap! abortz dee sheep KAPOW

  35. kittehluv says:

Don’t usually comment but will now. Just lost my kitteh dat had Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I saved her from da early big sleeps. Dis kitteh gave me joy like no other, and purrrr… dat kitteh purred like a freight train. I miss my sweet gurl and remember dis cheezefriends: a crooked kitteh might just straighten you out when it comes to luvin’! Mine gave pure love.

  36. schreukat says:

    awww :) CH kitty!! CHkitteh’s r awsum!

To those who posted about his condition already, thank you! (especially the Charlie video…warms my heart every time)
To those who think something is wrong with the kitteh, well, there kinda is but it’s not cruel or harmful or induced, so don’t worry!

Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a condition where the kitty’s cerebellum doesn’t fully form in the womb. It can be caused by any number of things, usually when the mother has a specific infection, accident or malnutrition. The cerebellum controls, among other things, motor coordination and fine motor skills. It doesn’t start your leg moving, but it’s responsible for figuring out where that leg needs to go. That’s why CH kittehs are wobbly…they know they want to go in one direction, but their cerebellum can’t get the legs to land in the right spot. It doesn’t get better or worse with age, and most CH kittehs learn to adapt. And most importantly, it doesn’t hurt them! They’re in no pain whatsoever, unless they take a rather nasty tumble, but we all know how good they are at shrugging off acrobatic misshaps! :)

  37. thomas3paws says:

teh oranj wun isnt poysun, its jus a jiant vershun of teh string theory, and Tank fynds it much fascinatin!!!! and halpin his cyntific educashun!!!!

  38. HappyMooch says:

I think this is a beautiful thing to watch people who take that extra step and take care of speshal kittehs like this. ((I’m still learning my lolspeak, I can haz a forgive?)) My boyfriends kitteh, Mooch, has hips that are birth defective, but he’s happy and in no pain!

  39. aracat says:

Thanks yu peeplolz fer alol the infurmashon. Happy to see da kittehs are a-ok and now we know mores about der condishun :)

  40. jan says:

kitty looks like it’s having a little seizure at the end…

  41. barbarius says:

    wuzz diz sonk?

  42. purrpal says:

We’ve had several kittehs with cerebellar hypoplasia adopted from our shelter! Yes, they are wobbly, but otherwise perfectly happy! As long as you adapt your house for them, they’ll be fine!

  43. Kurai_Yamino says:

spiffy kitty!!! I thought it was the wood floor but that is so sweet and he is a trooper!

  44. sybann says:

I am so glad people love special needs kittehs too. But iz hard to laff at them.

    • I am pretty sure that most of us are laughing at how cute the kitteh is just being a kitteh, not laughing at the kitteh’s disability. The kitteh seems to be having a good time “stalking” its “prey” despite having the wobbles.

      • Trielle says:

Exactly! What I thought was “Awwwwww, cute kitty”.
My cat reacted almost the same way touching a moth he was stalking and almost fell of his cat pole, was so silly.
So it’s not laughing at him (or any other cat video on here) but going awwww, I love that kitty and wants to take him/her home with me!

  45. Hey moderators says:

Here we go again! You post videos of cats that appear to have neurological issues and still expect that cat lovers are not going to object!
This is NOT AMUSEMENT! This is ABUSE! Take down this video and check your priorities!

    • foofoo says:

Oh shut up and read the comments before getting all indignant. There’s nothing wrong with the cat, he has a brain disorder but is perfectly fine and happy. Instead of getting your panties in a wad and screaming at the moderators, why don’t *you* check the comments first?

      Go rage elsewhere you derfwad.

  46. jmuhjACAT says:

“derfwad” — ai lyks taht! ;)

Butt srsly, fokes, wee luvs CH kittehs! They’r KITTEHS, aftur awl! <3

  47. Aunt Edna, calling from Lawrence Welk Village says:

GOD’S TEETH. Do people not read previous comments?! I’ve never seen the same questions and answers so many times.

Foofoo you’ve got it right!! “Hey moderators” needs to educate themselves before getting all indignant. The cat is adorable and not in pain. It has plenty to eat, soft places to sleep, toys to play with and a safe environment. Save your rants for the poor cats left hungrey and in danger.

    • keshet says:

Some of the repeat posting may be in part due to the way the site operates. First time posters are sent by the site to moderation to make sure they aren’t spam or violate terms of service. After the site noms on their comment for a bit, it gets spit back out and appears.

      • foofoo says:

Why don’t the moderators delete the indignant and wanky “OMG ABUSE” comments then after they see them in the queue? It’s baffling how so many of these get through (if they’re going through moderation in the first place… pretty sure there’s quite a few that are regulars who are past moderation now).

It’s just so frustrating to see so many people getting cranky when there’s no justification for it at all. Some quick reading through the comments will put everything in a proper context.

I think some people just get off on blowing a gasket. Feh! Feh I say! That kitty is awesome and beautiful and his reaction to the bracelet is hilarious. It’s obvious he’s taken care of. Where’s the abuse in that?

        • keshet says:

They don’t delete them because the posts do not violate the Terms of Use.

As to why people post what they post: Everyone sees things from their own perspective. We don’t have to agree with their point of view, but we also don’t need to let what others post upset us either.

  48. didi says:

that kitteh has a neurological problem – ataxia!

  49. Setin says:

Thank you, Aunt Edna (love the God’s teeth expression), I agree.

We have an older cat who’s developed a balance problem and seems to enjoy life nonetheless. He’s adapted well and gets all sorts of extra TLC and still enjoys pouncing on those evil shoe laces that occasionally catch his eye. The kitty in the video is amusing for his enthusiasm and spirit which are obvious in spite of the wobble NOT because he’s wobbling.

Now, can anyone explain why we, as humans, find the odd tilt of the head that my own cat now has to be so darn endearing? I feel guilty smiling at it since I know it’s part of a brain disorder!

  50. Trielle says:

I think it’s a good thing to see kitties of all kinds on here. It just shows that people love their kitties lots and want eveyone else to see how happy their lovely kitties are.
It’s no different than any other kitty videos where kitties get all klutzy and stuff. All kitty lovers love the kitties with their quirks and all.

  51. IzzyMikeyCheezburger says:

    Luks liek teh brayslet wun.

Iz a bery kyoot kitteh, cel… celleba… dissability an awl.

  52. Ashlia says:

I have a cat just like that! She is the most awesome cat in the whole world! She has that same disorder but she’s just like any other cat.

  53. DavidB says:

It is clear to me now why the kitteh is wobbly. But it’s wonderful to see the young cat so obviously happy and healthy. He is obviously very well cared for. It was a worry at first viewing what was wrong but now I know I think thanks should go to the owner for showing us just how much joy and delight even a kitteh with a neurological disorder can give. If the kitteh is happy and he so obviously is, we should be happy for him. There are an awful lot of “normal” kittehs who aren’t so fortunate as to have a loving home, regular food, fresh water and a warm dry and safe place to sleep.

  54. MommaMewz says:

Iz mag-net-ick brayslet. Kitteh has teh saym paw-larity an iz mangeti…magtenikly…manleticly…saym paw-larity, doan like to play togeddur.

  57. Ben says:

    Kitteh got PWNED!!!!!!11

  58. Jasper's Dad says:

I have a rescue cat that is something like this – a very stiff legged walk, and has some trouble with high speed turns. The rescue group had named him Macho, because he walks like John Wayne, my oldest daughter named him Jasper – he has a girlfriend here at the house (a 55 pound boxer female) who follows him through the house, curls up with him on the heated floors, and watches after him. He’s checked on a regular basis, and there’s no way I’d have him put down, just because he walks funny. He’s a big lover cat, and as far as he knows, he’s completely normal for a cat.

  59. Lizzie says:

This kitty had cerebellar hypoplasia. You can read all about it at http://www.CHKittyClub.com

These babies are not in any pain, they are wonderful and sweet cats, live a normal life span just like any other cat, and we who live with them and love them are the luckiest people around.

    http://www.TardyPeebucket.com

  60. Marigot says:

I’m sitting here reading these comments with my wonderful Quinn in my lap. He has a very severe case of CH and can’t stand or walk, but there is no doubt in my mind that he’s the most adored kitteh in the whole world. And he returns all the love he receives tenfold.

  61. Dazey says:

CH kitties are the greatest! I’m glad to see that they’re getting the attention they deserve. :)

  62. Christina says:

Seriously, some people think just because a cat has a disorder it is not allowed to have any fun :( I have a cat with cerebellar hypoplasia just like the one in the video. She probably falls over dozens of times in the course of an average day. More so when she is having fun playing with her toys and her sister. When she falls over she, she picks herself back up as she knows no different…just another day in the life for her. My cat is not in pain, she enjoys life and at 3 years old she is walking better than she did as a kitten but will never walk or move like an average cat. Because she does not have good motor control and balance sometimes her legs splay out because her muscle tone is high, she might practically flip on her side or back and she wobbles, especially in the head…hence the seizure-like look. The cat in the video was not in any danger…not on a high surface, not playing with anything dangerous, and not outside…so ease up. She was just doing what kitties do best – investigating interesting things. So no abuse here…if anything it got the word out about cerebellar hypoplasia (aka CH) to some people who might otherwise not known. Cheers.

  63. Melanie says:

While I noticed a lot of people make comments about this neurological condition known as cerebral hypoplasia, many seemed to ignore what this condition means and think this video is cruel. CH cats can live normal lives despite this condition. There is nothing seriously wrong with them and cat live long lives like any other cat…it’s only due to the cerebral hypoplasia condition that makes them a little “wobbly” otherwise they are fine

  64. barbarius says:

the song, wuzz the name of the song???

CH is not a horrible condition…my husband and I have 2 cats with CH and I can tell you that they are the sweetest, most loving, amazing cats I have ever met. Buddy, 2 years old has a mild version of Ch and loves to lay on your lap, and Kitty who is 6 years old has a much greater form of CH has learned from Buddy how to jump..because she couldn’t really do that before we got him! More people should learn about CH and realize that these cats are amazing and many of them get put down because people do not understand their condition. For the rest of my life I will adopt CH cats because they hold a special place in my heart!!
