“Make it sew, #1″ is what Piccard would say!
Those Singer sewing machines are awesome! I have the one my mom got in 1961, and I still use it. I do like the fuzzy attachment on this one, tho…
Star Trek: The Next Generation WIN
Cute Kitty photo, but I have been a Trekkie for nineteen years and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that one!
Wow, that sewing machine looks almost exactly like my Mom’s, still in constant use since 1964. Hers is a Singer “Slantomatic” 401. It was the first appliance Dad bought for her when they emigrated to America, and it still looks like it just came out of the packing crate. She has all the original accessories, too, including the instruction book. Judging by the prose and illustrations, apparently back then only wimmins were allowed to have sewing machines, LOL!
Just last week, I even found the sales receipt for it in Dad’s papers – he bought it from a pawn shop for less than $100.
(Kitteh is cute too, but maybe not as quaintly collectible as the Singer!)
