I used to have a fox I befriended that would sneak up on my kitties and scare them to death. Only I knew he was playing; he would chase them around the yard-they were never amused. But I was! XD
I had an orange kitteh, very fox colour, and Mr Fox used to lie down to sleep with her, all curly-up and cosy in the barn. Then play tag all round the field. Mr Fox come barking at my window for his breakfast and share the plate with Kitteh. Nice nice.

was a meestake.
A long time ago I let my cats out to roam (before we built the big cat-yard). A neighbor who was a trucker and often got in late at night told me that he used to see all the cats lying on the driveway every night. He said, “Did you know there’s a fox that lies among them?” I was surprised. I’ve always thought a fox would kill a cat. But he told me the fox slept with them every night.
Ai lubs stoarees abowt teh Peasful Kingdums.

The reality is that the fox in the picture was about to have that cat for dinner. The human who was taking the photo chased him away, and that’s when I think the cat started to chase the fox.
I had a very moody cat once, she used to chase the dogs (including a pair of Alsatians across the street) , away that came to close to our house. Never had a dog poo on grass problem.
Bet ya didn’t know they had hover technology, did ya?
kitteh olways wins
This happened at our house one time, but the fox wasn’t being friendly. My cat never saw him. I did. The fox stared at me and I stared at the fox and the cat was inbetween us, walking up the drive toward me. And no way could I coax Jammie into walking FASTER, he was playing his usual game of making me wait for him.
This fox was mean; it killed almost all the wildlife in the neighborhood just to kill them. It didn’t even eat what it killed. Fortunately the fox decided not to mess with me that night, and moved on. It’s a good thing I happened to go outside to get my cat, when I did.
A few years later the fox was found dead out on the main road and it’s been a huge relief. Wildlife is slowly making a comeback around here.
I don’t know what the story behind that photo is. The fox is a pet? I don’t think the cat would stand a chance if that fox was wild.
Moral of the story: It’s a good idea to know which way the wind is blowing.
What breed of kitty is that?
Look at the look on the cat’s face. I don’t think he’s someone to be messed with!
I always thought foxes were more cat than dog anyway.
That looks like a Maine Coon cat to me and if it is it could probably give that fox a run for its money, they are huge.
I think the fox was looking for a meal but he underestimated that cat. Kitty looks pretty tough.
pictturz ex’lent. “story” not so much.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been any kind of Firefox comment yet.
Actually that kitteh is very lucky, I have seen foxes carrying cats to feed to their kits!!
Hear… Let meh git dat tik ouf ur bak fore u…
