In regards to the promises, teh tech hoominz r wurking on teh sistem so if u onlee wantz 2 look at capshuned lolz, u can and it will wurk properlee, but since it iz a tech fing, dis will taek time and we hope dat u awl can be pashient abowt dat tech change. in regards to udder promises, we still r posting up lolz at the same times: (Pacific time) 3am, 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 5pm, so nuffing haz changed wif teh normal capshuned lolz. Well for starters, maybe teknically yew didn’t promise tew not use LOLz for advertising, but that wuld have been a good one to include. It reflects directly on contributorship.
And, perhaps some of us would like to look at the “extra” content and don’t mind GIFs or polls, but representing something as content that is not is just an insult to our intelligence.

Not sure if you saw my reply below, but this cat bed picture/post is actually not advertising (so no monies for it), but it was something that we just found interesting and wanted to share with other people to see what they thought. We also loved the picture of the sleeping cats. So we definitely didn’t mean it to seem like any spammy advertising or any kind of sponsored content.

I am speaking for myself here and some may agree with what I am saying. Many of these new changes with gifs and all the extra stuff is making the site too cluttered and not as fun as it once was. Don’t dilute your brand so much that it is unrecognizable from it once was. Just my two cents. I have loved coming to ICHC for over 3 years now but since the changes this summer I have been spending less and less time here

We definitely appreciate your feedback and want you all to stay and enjoy ICHC! And with the caption only tab, we hope that can help with the extra content that we are adding (we had many user suggestions to add moar content, so we are trying to add moar kittehs) and then cheez frends don’t have to look at other things that won’t be of interest to you. I know the caption only tab doesn’t fully work as how you all want and that’s what is the long term promise that we are working on since teh tech hoominz r extra extra busy (if only kittehs could program). thx for being patient and for all of your support throughout the years!

if in a position to viewing from a window would b made possible (I can think of three places in my house) it would be used by HRH Tula. It would make an excellent perch to spy on the school children and evil dogs. That being said there are already things for her to sit/lay on and spy on the passerbyer’s.
I think cats just like to flop around anywhere, and they’ll use it if they happen to be in that room when they want to nap. The only sleep place a cat actually seems to seek out is the mommy and daddys bed. I think I would get one if I thought it’d make my kitty happy.

We do have free accounts but the content on this site, photos and captions are user generated so we are creating the content that fuels this site. So the site (or rather this family of sites) does benefit from the community as well.

We already have something like that, used as elevation platforms to reach cupboard tops, in our case. Kitties who go up regularly use it to show off to kitties who cannot make the jump.

All my kitten wants to know is, “Does it come in a box?” And as a kittenmom I agree that this is not advertising and I love the polls, they allow me to see how all the other kitten moms and dads cope! Or if they be like me don’t always cope.

To be honest, my cat would love this bed. I have a living room and dining room separated by a wall that doesn’t reach to the ceiling. She loves to walk the partition and if she could have a little spot up there to sleep, she would. I’d prolly put it just under the ledge on one side so she could watch from her “perch”

Isn’t there something like a Murphy’s Law for cats? Lolcat Law? Where if the owner purchases an expensive object intending it to be used by their cat, the cat will not be interested in it and instead go for something dirt cheap?
So, if this new bed is $200, the cat will likely find a box laying around the house and just sleep in that….or the owner’s face.

Yes, it sucks to be poor, but why be so negative? Most of us seem to be having fun talking about where our kitties sleep. Where does your kitty sleep IntrudingReality? Or are you sad because you not has a kitty?

The trick to getting kittehs to sleep in their beds is to pretend they’re NOT supposed to sleep there. Whenever I want my kitteh to sleep in a certain spot, I take a few sheets of paper and tap them a bit and say, “This paperwork is very important… I better put it here so I don’t lose or damage it!” and lay the paper down. All three of my cats will be fighting to sleep in that spot by the end of the day.
My Kitty would sleep in the box the bed came in but probably not the bed.
Mai kitties would lik it if it was by the window where the birdies hav their birdfeeders – and they culd lay together. Is too expensive, tho.
