This is totally what our cat did on his way home from the adoption event at Petco. He had completely chewed his way out of the box by the time we got home and still chews on anything and everything.
Exactly what happened with my little Missy (Mischevious, little monkey!) It was a $5 cardboard carrier. It lasted 2x 3 minute trips to the vet. The sharp teeth and head pushing obliterated it!!
