Dis lil lamb was born at a farm in the Shangdong province in eastern China. But what may seem like a completely debilitating deformation has not stopped this little guy from living life to the fullest. His owner, farmer Cui Jinxiu, says that, after birth, he “managed to struggle up and stand on his two legs in order to drink some milk from his mother.” Awww! We wish the little a guy a long and happy life!

aww
Nawt much gud – ownlee wun leg uv lamm an wun showlder!
i hopz yur not srius bout dat coment!
“A long and happy life”? This deformity and the empathy it instilled may make the first part of that more likely, at least.
Wat a litel troupr! I hope it haz a gud lyfe…hopefloly it duzn’t end up being dinnur :/
Most sheep duz end up az dinna.
I kno, I kno…wai duz lam haz to be so delishus? O.o and veel iz gud, too…*sry abowt mai bad lolspeak, iz sorta new heer lol*
…and the farmer said, “You don’t eat a sheep like that all at once!”
Don’t type things like that while my cube mate is on an international conference call. It’s difficult to explain the maniacal laughter to all of those people.
Not a LOL!
How is this not photoshoped? The hind legs are on the front end and backwards! The photo itself is blurry in the very area that would have been altered to hide the ‘shopping.
Its like that because of the pressure on the legs, and the whole pic is blurry. Things like this do happen, though sometimes it’s hard to tell apart from photoshop.
They’re on the front and backwards because they’re the FRONT legs. The rear legs are missing. He’s got his elbows bent to keep his front legs under his center of gravity.
Yup.. his toes point in the wrong direction. Knees (actually the ankles) are backwards too (like a bird’s knees).
Fake as fake gets.
1) Lambs don’t have toes, they have hooves, and you can’t see his hooves
2) It can actually happen http://www.danekeclublambs.com/SheepFeetandLegStructureTest.html
If you click the link for the source, there is the article.. kinda breaks my heart to see him like this but at least the owner has some compassion… he deserves it.
There’s no compassion involved. The farmer likely intends to use this lamb to get some nice money for himself, and I wouldn’t blame him either.
The sad shame is that it was likely the pollutants they try to pass off as air over there that caused this. I hope the poor thing dies quickly so it’s pain isn’t prolonged.
How do you know the lamb’s in pain?
100% shopped.
Mini emu with a ‘fro!
Of course it is photoshopped. Look to the background and you can see a nice clean shadow of something out of frame. There is no shadow under the critter. And with abirth defect that severe, if it survived until birth it wouldn’t have made it long after. When stuff looks that bad on the outside, the inside usually is even worse.
Yes, not a LOL. There was a cat with only 2 legs at a local WONDERFUL shelter, and it did fine, even used the litter box, and got lots of love till its heart gave out. But I predict this lamb will be eaten soon enough.
This lamb is highly unlikely to get eaten, at least unless it dies on its own. It’s way too much of a novelty for that.
Being weird does have its survival benefits, you know.
OMG! Its like a strange mix between a Lamb and an Ostrich! An Ostramb, if you will.
*shiver*
NIGHTMARE FUEL, UNLEADED!
This is ghastly. This isn’t funny and it’s not inspiring–it’s just sad. This is a malformed lamb born on a working farm–he’s not going to have a “long and happy life,” if he’s lucky he’ll be humanely euthanised before he suffers too much.
Please, Cheeseburger, no more limb deformity pictures, no more genetic malformations. I come here for the LULZ, not to see genetics gone wrong.
Housedog, a two-legged lamb is hardly the saddest thing on the internet. There are people who laugh at pictures of deformed human babies all the time, shopping them for humorous effect. Farm animals in general are heavily abused.
You consider this sad/disturbing? I’ve got a few websites for you to visit…one of which being the reason this site exists.
With a little lamb this tasty, you don’t wanna eat em all at once…
Four legs good, two legs bad …wait a minute…
two legs baaaaaaaad……
It’s heartbreaking and disturbing and I know the world is like this but I come here to have a good laugh and forget the crappy parts of life. Really don’t want to see stuff like this here.
Two legs good! Four legs ba-a-a-a-d! I can’t believe no one has made an Orwellian reference yet.
Beat you to it. Comment was just awaiting moderation.
Yup because mass slaughter of animals for overconsumption is good and fine but some deformed animal brings out the awws and ooos every time. I am pretty sure him and all the other lambs do not have a long and happy life ahead of them, just a short and miserable one so some overweight pig can have something with their side dishes.
GTFO, vegetrollian.
I thought sheep are kept for their wool
their suffering makes them tasty.
I spot a peta member. Therefore your comment is rendered invalid for supporting the terrorists. I support a blowing up Peta, and hopefully the disgusting creature that runs it dies. I’ll spit and dance on her grave.
“Look mom, I’m an emu!”
I don’t want to say this, but this sheep totally looks like an AT-ST from star-wars.

What a rip off, only half the normal lamb shanks
kinda looks like a kiwi bird
All that industrial pollution = birth defects?
We wish you luck little thing. break a leg! Well, maybe not.
Delicious…
*-* Just like my creature in SPORE…
Looks like something for Kunstkamer in Saint-Petersburg
I wish him a future of lots-o-mint sauce
very sad pic
*sobs uncontrollably* Oh Li’l Brudder! That little guy, he’s got the heart of a champion! You’re gonna make it Li’l Brudder. You just keep scrapin’ along. Ohhh li’l Brudder! I don’t know what I’m doing with my life!
Li’l Brudder: “i can make it on my own!”
It’s apparent that you already have an internets, so here’s a gold star to go with it!
There are several videos and a book about a dog named Hope, which wa born with only rear legs. She walks around like a human, and seems to be quite content with her life. This farmer may make a few extra bucks showing off the lamb or something, but quite often an odd animal like this will evoke a feeling of pity and actually live longer than it’s normal relatives.
