When you first glance at this picture, you’re probably wondering why we would just post up a picture of dirt on the site. But it’s not just a picture of dirt, there is a real live cute cat in this pic! Believe me, there really is. It took me awhile and I ended up grabbing three other Cheezburger folks to help me find the cat, but when we finally did find the cat, we were like, why didn’t we see that sooner?!

There IS a live cat. It is a small orange and white tabby, sitting, looking straight at you munching on grass. It is the size of my pinky nail so it is very hard to find.

My god, that took far too long to see. My eyes hurt. I had to zoom all the way in on my computer, take a screen shot then zoom in on that in paint. Once I saw it though, it was so obvious, like one of those trick pictures. Here it is for anyone who really really can’t see it.

Okay, I get it now. The thing that makes it tricky is that the image appears to be pretty close-up, maybe because of the low res. But the dead center, where the cat is, that must be about twenty or thirty feet away from the lens. That grass looks to be about 2′ high, and the ruts are MUCH larger then you would think.

Dead center of the picture is a lone tuft of grass. His body is behind the tuft and his face is just above it, white nose/blaze with marmalade ears and black eyes. Look for two black dots above the tuft of grass, those are his eyes…once you see them the rest of his face pops out at you. I actually went OH!!! when I saw him, it’s that obvious.
It’s a REAL cat, not a shape in the tire tracks or a hidden image, a real live living breathing cat.

it’s not an illusion, I see it. It’s sort of orange and white and it’s hiding behind (well, it’s tummy is) a small tuft of grass. He blends right in because of his orangish color. You don’t need your imagination for it. It is a real, live, breathing cat.

Ok see in the exact middle, there is a piece of grass and above it is a white face with black eyes and an orange little body. It looks like he has a white belly I can’t really tell. Zoom in right in the middle and you will see the face zoom out and you can see the whole kitty.

One ginger tabby directly in the middle just above a tuft of grass, what appears to be the eye of a black cat under the dirt in the bottom left, and possibly another one in the top left, it’s a bit tricky to see him but if you concentrate around the dark patch of dirt beyond the grass in the top left you can just make him out.

OMG! found it. I had to tilt my laptop screen away from me. It isn’t a real cat, but rather on of those hidden image sorta things. Don’t look too hard or into the detail, because there isn’t any detail. Just look for the kitten outline when you look at ur screen from different angles

The white bits make up the outline of a cat. The wolf head is in the cat’s head, and the white blob at the bottom middle of the screen it one of its paws.

What I see is a very tiny dirt-colored kitten, sitting sideways with it’s rear to the right and head to the left. It’s looking towards the camera. Top to bottom, it’s almost directly center. If the screen were divided into thirds with vertical lines, it would be right at the divider line for the right third of the screen.

However, I’m NOT CONVINCED that’s a real cat, but a trick of the landscape. That kitten, according to the size of the tyre tracks and size of the grass tufts, would have to be TINY, and yet, it has the proportions of a fully grown cat.
I have never seen even a kitten (one which can walk, with full fur and open eyes, and the slimness of a grown cat) as small as a tuft of grass.
I think it might just be the way the colours appear from the photo.

Also, unless you live in the city, tufts of grass come in MANY sizes.

Holy smoke ive been visiting this site for as long as i can remember and i consider it my fave site of all time . However I swear i almost decided to not bother any longer as i felt soiled by a sick joke and wasted almost 2hrs finding the kitteh. Ok so I see the cat in the middle now, a real kitty. But it does look like all the white creates the outline of a kitty too. Like if you squint and the grey stone or whatever at the bottom left of the page because the kitty toes. And the nose of the outline kitty is just up and a bit left of the real kitty.

I think i found two kitties…there is a tiny kitty right in the center, to the right of the puddle. There also seems to be the back half of a marmalade tabby below- his head is behind a rock- he looks like he is crouching- you can make out the back legs.
It’s not a real cat, it’s an outline. It takes up most of the picture. On the left, you’ve got a groove in the dirt leading upwards to an ear, and then across to the other ear, and then down. There is a groove next to the “body” that curves towards the right and makes a tail .

it took me forever to find him! after i read to “look for the eyes” there it was! to the right of the wolf’s head is a triforce of grass. to the bottom left tuft of grass in the triforce is the left ear of the kitteh. it has a tuft of grass under its white chin. look for the eyes and you’ll find the rest of its body

Oh, there it is!! That rock in the center that looks like a wolf’s head is as big as the whole cat. Using the size of the ‘wolf’ rock as a measure, go down 2 ‘rocks’ and right 1 ‘rock’. The little cat is looking at the camera with it’s body slightly angled to the left. White nose, orange ears, white feet, orange body.
Now that I’ve found it, this was fun. A minute ago it was just crap.
Common sense says that whoever took the picture is going to put the subject right in the center. And it’s right there; an orange and white tabby behind a tuft of grass.
Sure enough, printing in black and white popped the cat out. You can actually tell it’s walking toward the camera, one front leg extended, almost stalking-like but more just trying to keep its footing while going down the dirt hill. The person who said it’s next to (and the same size as) the puddle is absolutely correct. It’s literally dead-center in the photo.

I finally found it. I had to print it in black and white and it shows up better even though it’s grainy.
I found the kitteh! That took entirely too much time. No this is not a magic poster. The kitteh is on it’s belly in resting position right in the middle of the picture.

Teh green tuft of grass is under his white chin. Most of his face makes up a white diamond-shape. He is looking toward the camera (but not directly at it, more like something near the photographer’s feet.)You can see his two dark eyes, and then his ears and the top and sides of his head are orange.

Very cool. Smack dab in the middle. View the image and then zoom in as much as you can. Kinda out of focus. Up and to the right (coming out of the head) it looks like a little alien head; that’s what my eyes focus on first.
It’s probably a rock, but I swear it looks like there’s a tiny little gray kitten peaking out from a hole under a rock… on the gray bar at the bottom, go about two-thirds of the way from left to right, where there’s a tuft of grass to the left of a darker spot (shaded part of rock). Go straight up from there. In SnagIt, I show the coordinates of this itty bitty spelunking kitty committee at 313,271 (dimensions are 500×332, from top left).
To clarify – to find the other one I’m talking about, go up from the shaded section, not the tuft of grass to the left of it. It’s straight up from a kinda curvy horizontal line that goes across the shade.
Does anyone else think that looks more like a kitten than a rock?

I found teh kitteh! He is in the center. Little orange and white kitteh. Once I found him it was like “why didn’t I see him sooner?” Now he’s easy to spot.

Yes its a real live kitteh…… thats about 1/2 inches in size! Look at the grass to the right and shadows for scale.

What i dont understand is that why the hell would someone look at that picture enough to find a kitteh, especially with so small one
