Lolyer Needed For Panty Bandit

funny pictures

Oscar has a knack for knickers. This twelve-year-old kitteh has swiped more than 70 items, mostly underwear, from the neighborhood. Thinking that neighbors would report a rash of missing underwear around the neighborhood, Oscar’s owners reported his burglaries to the police. The police are on the case and have taken down his paw-ticulars.

    • Rissa says:

Mine too!!!! My cat Boo LUVVVVVVS straws. He steals them right out of the cup. Then he brings it back to you expecting you to throw for him to fetch!! LOLOL

      • J Everett says:

My cat Bailey is also an epic straw thief. Turn your back on a drink from a fast food establishment and the straw will have vanished, later to be found in the hall closet where he has accidentally batted it under the door.

    • Teal says:

Our Jennyanydots used to steal the foam curlers right off my Grandma’s head. I’m not sure how he figured out how to open them, but he did!

He also used to steal feminine hygiene products (thankfully brand new ones), rubbing his face all over pads.

      • lizzy says:

i had a cat YEARS ago that stole new tampons. the cardboard tampax kind. (we were poor and it was a decade ago). if the cupboard was open, or your purse/backpack, he would grab them, run, and chew them up. if he got them out of them from the cupboard and no one was home, we’d find them shredded all over the living room! pretty embarrassing when you were coming in with guests! we’d also play keep away, and we’d toss tampons and he’d do crazy leaps trying to get them. he’d find them even in a pile of dirty laundry, which we’d do for giggles.

    • Ai hads no ideer dis was soo common. Long times ago when mai sister and I haz relee long hairs mom wood make us braid it at nite afore bed an sometime durin teh nite Taffy would say alla dese hair thingies are mine!!

    • lucycat says:

    • Rachel O. says:

Mine too! If I ever run out and think I need to buy more I just look in her hiding spots. Ta da! More hair ties!

      • Lipi says:

My indoor cat does that sound too, but most often it turns out it’s when she’s caught a bug or something and is calling the other cat to come eat and learn to hunt too. It really is a freaky sound.

    • Bunnehkins says:

Same here! ‘cept Mischa prefers the refrigerator. :)

    • Blindfaith73 says:

Mine too only he hides them under the throw rug or under the couch

    • Aussie_Chick says:

Yup, my Charlie loves him a hair tie- he flicks them around the house, and chases them. Very cute. :)

      • Lipi says:

One of our cats does that too. He also brings them to you to throw, so he can chase and catch them. And when he’s really playful, he brings to the water bowl, drops them in, and than tries to get them out without getting too wet.

    • h.r. says:

My kitteh also steals teh hair-ties. He finds dem and brings dem to me to throw for teh fetch, then he stores dem under the furnitures after.

      • mags says:

Me, too! It’s funny to hear how so many people’s cats love hair ties. They’re the best for playing fetch. :)

    • Anique says:

    • aimee says:

Another one for hair ties here! We bought her a set of colorful ones so that she has some that are “hers,” and we use the black or brown ones.
But she REALLY goes bonkers for a genuine rubber band. She pulls them off of the piles of receipts that we’ve wrapped them around (to keep sorted) and then scatters the papers.

    • MsSwwood says:

OMG! My kitteh steals Q-tips too! She also snags spare change! lolz

    • R says:

One of mine does the same. I loves playing with q-tips, which is especially funny because he is always so stoic about playing. He’s very into play hunting, but he turns totally stupid if he gets a q-tip.

      • Brighte says:

My Kitteh Gigi Bella would steal the q-tips and then play withe then in the bathroom sink. When she was done playing she would bite them in half and shove them down the drain. Took ua awhile to figure out why the sink kept backing up ^_^

      • lolzkittyrapist says:

        • rubydiamond says:

    • fantimaroolz says:

Ours steals Q-Tips too! She likes to bat them under the doors. And bite the fluff off.

    • aimee says:

We had a q-tip thief, too! He’d lick off the cotton and bury the “bones” in various “q-tip graveyards” under rugs. One great fun thing to try is making the q-tip “jump” by pushing down in the middle of it with the tip of your nail/finger then letting it pop up. Only works on carpet or springy rugs. If you do it a little to one side it sometimes spins in the air. Drives the kittehs wild! :D

My kitteh steals shiny things. She likes jewelry and coins which she puts under the bed.

  23. Almendra says:

She steals jewelry, eyeglasses, and other shiny objects. She will rummage through women’s purses. Our previous kitty stole food constantly — later we found out this was partly because he had a thyroid condition that made him hungry all the time. Apparently this is not unusual for cats. We wish we had known earlier, because it seems to have shortened his life, plus obviously we didn’t want him to be always hungry and uncomfortable. So if your cat steals food really often, you should mention it to the vet and get a thyroid test, just in case.

    • Anique says:

Dis very gud advise. Nobody lieks tah feel as if dey have not had noms for a week, an dis illnes iz very common wif kitties.

Mittens also LOVES to steal my hair elastics as well ;) But straws are her biggest addiction, she ends up hoarding a collection of them, lol

      • nightshayde says:

We have a couple of straw thieves. It’s not so bad with an open glass (when the straw can be easily removed), but with any cup whose straw is through its lid, it can be problematic. We’ve had a number of drinks tipped over that way.

Before my cat got spayed, she used to take the grocery bags that we saved for recycling from under the kitchen sink and hide them under anything she could hide them under. We didnt know how they got there until one of us caught her doing it! May you rest in peace in Kitteh Heaven, Ms. Kitty. She was the best cat ever!

  104. Dwessie says:

What does Kuro like stealing? Probably hair ties, since I dunno where they’re going. Also, he steals chips and bacon. You WILL find him in the corner eating them. He also has lost so many freaking DnD dice because he likes to knock them around, which is adorable until he runs off with them and then they are lost forever…We’ve gone through so many sets!
He also steals the love from all our guests that come over, and steals attention, and steals the chairs for using as a bed/bathtub. We have nowhere to sit.

    • Angelsrest says:

Our Fred used to love playing with DnD dice. He would select one from the pile on the table, push it to the edge then gently bat it off and watch with great amusement as it bounced away. Once it stopped bouncing though then the fun was over and a new dice would have to be selected. He also stole cars. So many times visitors had to come back to return our kitteh who had gotten into the car and gone to sleep in the back window in the sun :D

Mask for his part stole laps and chairs and beds, but mostly he stole people. If you entered HIS house then you were fair game. Any unguarded lap was his bed and the owner of the lap was then obliged to fuss the expanding puddle of purr on their lap :P (Failure to do so got the kyute levels turned up until they complied with his wishes. One example was his 3am attention request. He would put a single paw on your face. Failure to react got a second paw on your face. Failure to react got a nose pushed against your chin. Failure to react even to this got whiskers pushed up your nose while he loved you.)

I miss my Mask and Freddy boy :(

  105. ZorroTheCat says:

  107. T.J. and Callie's Mom says:

My two littermate boys, Steven and Stovatson used to steal baby clothes from the twin boys who lived down the street. One time it was matching Burt and Ernie sleeper suits (they actually stole them a second time after I returned them) matching striped tee-shirts, sweaters, and even a pacifier. When the little boys’ Mom would walk them down the street in the stroller, my two boys would run up to them, put their front paws on the stroller and stretch up to sniff and lick the little boys. It was the cutist thing in the world. Both my boys have gone to the “Rainbow Bridge” but I always remember them coming home with matching clothes.

Unfortunately fatty has figured out that if she sticks her arm up into the feeder she can pull kibble out. She does this throughout the day and when the timer is actually supposed to dispense food, there’s nothing left to dispense.

I have owned several cats, and have had girlfriends with cats; no cat is like my “smokers!” I named her that because when she was a kitten, she got into my wrapped cigars and shredded them. She will get into potato chip bags, treat bags, her food bags and will bite and claw until they are all over the place. I have to put her bags of food on a high shelf away from anything she can use to jump up there or she will shred it. She is a sweet cat though and loves to cuddle under my chin and purr, I guess thats to make up for being a “bad” girl.

Sorry .. fat fingers – before my OSA was dx, I kept finding little coloured spongy things all over the house. On the dining room table, under the table, on the stairs … finally I put one in my pocket, and when my husband came home, showed him, and asked him if he knew what it was. He almost snatched it in frustration. Seems he was going broke buying earplugs, which the cats thought were just the GREATEST toys! lol! I found him a tin to keep them in, but fortunately I eventually did get a correct dx and a cpap, and the need went away.

Of our current cats, Katrina steals hair-ties, and Sapphire steals the plugs from drains. We cannot keep a plug in the bathroom drain, so we are constantly losing the caps off toothpaste tubes into the pipes…my plumber is going to hate me.

Large items, preferably larger than he is: couch pillows, big stuffed animals, blankets. These things are most enjoyably dragged from one level of the house to another, ideally up at least one flight of stairs. Laundry is also fun to remove from the laundry baskets–as many items of clothing as can fit in one bite, and be moved into the middle of the bedroom. My cats are too busy with other things to steal.

Ariel is a hunter. Small critters beware. She’s caught birds, rats, bugs, and even a dragonfly. Sometimes she brings me her kills… I know it’s a complement but I wish she wouldn’t.

Smoke, well he likes to go find places to sleep outside, or just to watch the world pass by. Lazy cat.

Mirror alternates between sitting up in the tops of trees chirping at birds, and catching live things, to bring to me. He won’t kill them, but he likes to bring them home. Good thing Ariel is around.

Hair-tyes and the plastic milk rings from the plastic milk jug

Also food scraps out of the garbage, so we have to bungy-cord the lid. You’d think they didn’t get enough to eat!
