My parents’ bed- kitteh is not allowed in my room at night, cause he’s a pain in the butt, but for some reason, parents are more tolerant than I am.
Snowy usually impounds a specific chair near a window. When she is denied that, she sleeps on a wooden shelf right beside her actual bed. One would thing that a thick blanket would be more comfortable than bare wood, but noooo.
I have 2 cats, Speedbump and Football. Speedbump only sleeps on things that are left on the floor or on a counter or chair. So a plastic bag on the floor or a shirt thrown in a chair. Football, my little black cat, only ever sleeps across the top of the stairs… in the dark…
My cat used to sleep on my pillow, curled around the back of my head and I would wake up to her grooming my hair

Not only on my bed, but on my pillow while I’m also trying to use it. This is no small cat either, he’s a Maine Coon!
My 14 pound, 20 month-old kitten is sleeping in my lap right now – oops, he just got up and left.
He has clawed a hole in the fabric covering the bottom of the box-springs of our bed and he and his sister have taken to climbing around inside. It keeps us from sleeping.
In the winter he sleeps on the hot air register. In the summer he sleeps on the cold air register.
one of my cats likes plastic bags, any bag! it doesn’t matter where it’s located, she’ll sleep on it. so i tricked her and put plastic bags in the bed i bought for her. so i guess, technically, she does sleep in the bed i bought for her.
Nights – One on top of the most important paperwork on my desk; one as close to my head as possible; one on top of the dirty laundry in the bathroom. Days – whatever paperwork I’m trying to work on, the kitchen counter, the dining table, the largest pillow in the house, and anywhere else that’s soft and suits their fancy.

We have two kittens who sleep everywhere including, but not limited to: inside bags, on a chair cuddling with 5lb. weights, behind (not under) desks, on top of books in bookshelves, and inside drawers. When they were smaller they could literally get inside the couch, and would nap there for hours, unreachable to their stressing mommies.
Our three cats sleep on top of the turtle tank, in the planted pots, on an open laptop, the top of the fridge, in an open toy box, and once found a cat in my dresser… i left it open and turned away….. middle of the night i heard scratching……. my poor poor jeans!!!!
Lulu, the new cat was confined to the guest bathroom and liked the bathroom sink instead of the nice bed that was bought for her. Now with the whole house, still likes the sink–nice and cool for summer. Maybe something else will work better come the cold weather.
We have 3 kittehs. One usually sleeps in our room, if it’s not too hot on the bed, or on the floor. One usually sleeps on our lodger. The hyperactive new kitten sleeps anywhere, but not very often!!!
Although, to be honest, in this weather most of them are sleeping sprawled out on the laminate floor where it’s coolest.

I folded up a fleece blanket and put it in the corner of my room, and she likes to sleep on that. It’s her bed. She also likes to sleep on my bed, next to the refrigerator (in the summer), on the couch, on the futon, or in my roommate’s closet.
My cats sleep on my couch and my easy chair, mostly. They especially like to sleep in my lap (both at the same time) when I am sitting on the couch. They don’t sleep in my bed much because they play most of the night.

Well, okay, my cat’s aren’t that predictable. One of them ALWAYS sleeps with us, usually on my boyfriend’s balls, and my other cat usually sleeps either on the floor in the bedroom or on the couch.
They’re pretty boring when it comes to sleeping places during the night when we’re sleeping, too. When we’re up, they usually sleep in one of three closets.

Akshully, my kittehz (all 3) sometimes sleep in the beds I made, sometimes sleep in the beds I bought, sometimes sleep in my bed (when they are allowed), but usually sleep “somewhere else”, so “somewhere else” got the vote, as the most frequent.
We have two kitties, so we went out and bought two wicker laundry baskets and threw some old blankets in them. The male loves this, he sleeps in it all the time. The female, not so much.
She usually sleeps on the screened-in porch off the side of the house (there’s a cat door so she can get in and out with ease), or in the bathroom sink.

I don’t doubt there are some other places and that they’ll invent new places as the optiond present themselves.

Robin doesn’t sleep in a bed so much as he cowers under the bed. He spends so much time under there, that my husband considered throwing rose scented potpourri (which he is afraid of) under there.

We have two kitties, and they’re both pretty social and like to snooze nearby the husband and I, wherever we are. They share the bed with us at night, or sometimes nap in an open window. Our big boy likes the sink, cause it’s cool…actually, he likes the whole bathroom in general! We often find him on the counter, happy as a clam. Our little lady will often sprawl in the middle of the living room floor like the spoiled princess she knows she is. They do have a basin shaped basket that they both love, and in fact used to share until the little girl grew up and got to big. It’s pretty hilarious to watch them try it every now and again, for old times sake, I’m sure.

Haha. My kitty wants to sleep with me on my bed, but he purrs like a lawnmower and is not allowed. So he sleeps anywhere he pleases. Mostly the fluffy blanket in my study. Over a while, the blanket has shaped to him and he sleeps there every night.
Right now she’s sleeping under my bed because she doesn’t like my foster cat. By Friday she should be back to sleeping on my bed – making the depression that she always makes in my air mattress.

Everywhere! They love the beds I make though, as well as the beds I bought to attach to the computer desks.
All seven of ours would sleep on our bed if we let them, but there wouldn’t be any room for my husband and I. So they have to sleep “elsewhere”. Which usually means right outside the bedroom door. This makes it easier to trip us during the night on our way to the bathroom, and to be the first to hear us moving around in the morning so they can remind us they’ve gone an entire night without eating and the bowls must be filled.

Anywhere and everywhere. Why they choose which place at different times I haven’t a clue. Each has staked out one chair as “mine” but that doesn’t mean that’s where they sleep, just that the other one doesn’t go there. I never know for sure where either of them will sleep, whether during the day or at night. I think they do that just to keep me guessing.

Oh, yeah, and my big male, Taco, sometimes sleeps on me! Not just WITH me, ON me. In the bed on top of me on my already wrecked back. Cuz he looves his mama and wants to be with her! (really to cripple up his mama more so she can’t leave the house at all and will always be there to wait on him paw and paw)

Let’s see… in the linen closet (woe betide the unfortunate soul who opens the door and frightens her!) in the sunbeam on the livingroom floor, back of the couch, my shoulder (at night), in the driveway (patch of sun) where you have to stop the car, get out and pick her up and move her) , in the driveway (shadey spot) where you have to stop the car, pick her up and move her, second step from the top of the stairs in the little dark spot where you are sure to trip because she is a black cat who tucks her little white paws underneath herself.
Our cats decide to sleep in the seat most convenient for us. Which means we have to sit in the inconvenient seats.
Well, she does love the bed, but it’s hot up there, so she likes the back of the couch better these days. She also likes the dining room chairs when they’re pushed under the table. I’ll also sometimes see her lying on the floor if there’s a beam of sunlight shining though…adorable. This isn’t normal, but I found her napping behind a door with her back bent at a weird 90degree angle a week or two ago. lol- cats are bendy!

my kitteh usually sleeps in one of several closets or cabinets, but sometimes she’ll sleep on my chest if I’m laying on my back.
I have a sewing room with some of my fabrics neatly arranged by color, type of fabric, etc in a cube structure. She decided that she wanted a cube to sleep in so all the fabric got thrown out onto the floor and she sleeps in there. Although she may find a new spot today as her desires change daily.

My three cats sleep in my bed, but only when I’m attempting to sleep. Somehow, they take up 98% of the queen sized mattress, and I’m left gripping the edge with my legs weighted down and unable to move. Sigh. Love them!

One, in the winter, on top of me or under the radiator (I have those big old-fashioned steam radiators). In the summer, on top of me or on top of the television. My other cat prefers the top of my kitchen cabinets in all seasons.

I have two cats. One sleeps behind the couch in the living room, the other on my daughter’s pillow. Sometimes they sleep outside under the barbecue. So… they sleep wherever they want to.

My cats have a number of places they sleep–and they take turns sleeping in favorite places: bathroom sink, top of desk by window, purple kitteh bed, sheepskin kitteh bed, side of bed that I don’t sleep on, back of couch, any pile of clothes.
On a stack of our monogrammed, cloth napkins which I accidentally left out following a dinner party several months ago. Needless to say, the napkins are very furry now.

If there’s a perfectly clean house, with one paper on the floor, the cat will sleep on the paper.
Otherwise, it’s in a box, on a blanket, or just plopped down on a random spot on the floor.
My cat sleeps in my son’s old carseat or in his toy wrestling ring. He must love my son! lol
My many cats usually sleep on the porch, under the car, or under the house. Especially in the heat of the day
Used to sleep in our bed until the dogs took over. Now splits time between sofa in the gym room (very near the dog door she recently became comfortable using, though we do not want her to), or an ottoman in the family room; sometimes under the bed in the spare bedroom or the master; sometimes in the scratching post perch (sunny window).

On my mom’s bed (she’s got a softer quilt than me), in his treehouse, in the dryer, on a chair at the kitchen table, on the stairs, in front of the door, the kitchen counter on sunny day, in the sink…. basically everywhere and anywhere.
my cat(s) sleep on the floor. and in my door way. and then look at you funny when you trip over them.
My cats sleep on top of any available human.
Frankly, I find that cats don’t want cat furniture. They want YOUR furniture, and you just have to hope they’ll share!

B) on our couches. or C) On my dad. the funny thing is both cats love my dad and like/tolerate me. I think they’re just playing hard to get
but Chrissy is evil and tolerates me (She even lets me (A crazy Hooman) Hug her!) and then Lilly is shy and likes me

We have a new (adult) cat, and I just can’t figure her out. Her favorite places to sleep are in the middle of the family room floor and on the ironing board.
I have four cats…they all sleep as far away from each other as they can. MTTHW (MoreTroubleThanHe’sWorth) sleeps in an empty litter pan; BLUE sleeps at the top of the stairs; Rusty – the newest kitty sleeps with us so he can nuzzle in the night and POORBOB has to sleep outside – he is our porch kitty who adopted the house.

Mostly my Fred sleeps with me. But he takes naps in the spare room bed. Not sure how he manages it but he sleeps under the comforter. I walked in one day and there was a big lump in the middle of the bed. When he gets up you can barely tell he has been there.

One cat sleeps on the backs of all the chairs, so there are little dips in the back of the recliner, the chaise, and the couch. The black cat sleeps on one of the shelves of my dark bookshelves (in the corner that USED to hold a stack of board games–he has yet to dislodge the books) so that no one can see him. Best of all, if you wake him he shoots out his paw to scare the crap out of you.
Monster likes to sleep either on the kitchen windowsill or on the ottoman in the living room.
mine both prefer to sleep on what ever you are doing, like my laptop, or in a box, and if you even think about reading the news paper, one of my cats sleeps on it.

Our cat is kind of anti-social; he sleeps all day on the deck and the outside furniture, but only comes in to eat.
One or two generally sleep on my bed. A cat we got as a feral kitten sleeps under the bed (only seen a lot when the Greenie bag crunches). One is generally in an actual cat bed. The sofa generally has one. It’s their house, after all. They just keep me around to clean and provide noms.

If I am in my bed, my cats sleep in store-bought beds which are on top of my bed, so kind of a melding of two of the answers above. When I’m not in bed, it varies, but usually somewhere in the room where I am.

mai kitteh sleeps on meh… ushually on mai ample bottom when I’m on mai tummeh, or on mai pillow curled around mai hed. Dis is only at nite, tho. During teh day she follows teh sunnyspots around teh room n sleeps in dose spots. if teh day is cloudy she meows n meows at meh… I tell her I am not teh boss of teh sun n teh clowds! Mus b very tiring hard work for mai kitteh, she sleeps so much.
i just bought two new sleeping baskets for my cats. In sted of sleeping in them they pee in it, smell it and then jump on my bed and sleep there! I washed the baskets but eveytime they pee in it.

Our cats sleep all over…..The oldest, Zsa-Zsa(not by much) has his blankies on our bed and usually starts out there and he will definately let you know it is bedtime. Our girl….Cali….likes any bed we have bought. Both like my spot I sit in to sleep on and my spot on the bed. But they really will sleep just about anywhere…..especially under the beds.
