My cat likes to sleep in hiding places. We have underbed drawers, and i have to keep one empty for him so he can crawl through.

Wherever I want. I’ve taught him to recognise hot water bottles and sleep wherever I put them. It’s winter in Australia. I slide them under blankets. It knocks him out on his back for the night.
That’s funny to think it is winter any place else! It’s ninety degrees in the upper Midwest of the United States.

c) when I had them – huge flowerpots full of herbs. I just quit, seeing no point in seeding, watering and caring for something that will be squashed by 8 kg of cat in one nap. Oh, there was no catnip. Just basil, dill, parsley, sage, oregano and some garlic.

We have two cats. One sleeps on any available flat surface – usually the top of a dresser, bookcase, coffee table, china cabinet, etc. If it’s flat and hard as a rock, she loves it. The other kitty likes to sleep either on the couch or bed, sprawled full-length to take up as much room as felinely possible, claws and teeth ready in case we can’t resist the fully-exposed fluffy belly and try to go in for a belly rub.

My cat actually sleeps in a padded box. It’s the box that my new power supply for my laptop came in. I saw her lying in it when it first came in, I let her keep it, and now it’s pretty much her bed. Which is funny, because she hardly fits in it.
If I was home, he’d sleep in any sunspot, in a box or both if he could spring it. But mostly he would sleep with me in the room. If I wasn’t in the room he wanted to sleep in, he’d find me, and meow and rub against my legs untill I followed him into the room he wanted. He LOVED sleeping in my lap. When I wasn’t home, he’d sleep on anything with my scent on it. At night, he’d sleep outside my door, and if he managed to get the door open while I slept, I’d wake up with him sleeping behind my knees. I never let him in my room at night, because I was afraid of squishing him in my sleep, but he never seemed to care when I’d roll over onto him. I miss my baby.

I have two kittehs. My old boy sleeps on top of mommy wherever mommy sleeps. He especially makes sure to shout at mommy when it is time to go to bed. Mommy must then take him to the bedroom, put him in the bed and cuddle up nexto him so he is warm. Then he must have his head out from under the blankets and on the pillow.
My little girl likes to sleep on top of her daddy. When not doing that she likes anything crinkly but paper is her favorite. Alternatively she likes the goggie bed or boxes regardless of where she finds them.
Hoomans do not understands the komplikated matrix f kitteh sleep behavyur.
There be DAY time sleepy spots and NIGHT time sleepy spots. Selekshun influenced by weather, need for variety and of cowrse were be hooman at teh time.
This all be too complikated for hoomans who cannot unnerstand how to use teh recycling bins.

Best video I ever saw was on AFV. A cat was sleeping on a TV, rolled over, and fell off. That vdeo and the one where the cat was on the bed, gets scared, and launches into the wall.

On the top of the cat tower and in the radiator hammocks are very popular, but will also sleep on any small piece of cloth that is where it shouldn’t be, or is for some reason precious (pile of ironing for example). And beds. And patches of sunshine.

My boys sleep in my bed, my son’s bed, UNDER the beds, on laundry, on pillows my son has thrown onto the floor, on the carpet, sometimes in the cat bed, sometimes in the little “cat-house” we bought them, on the dining room table … pretty much everywhere in the house that you can imagine EXCEPT the sinks and tubs.
Our cat acts like he’s a dog and lies around in the most random places on the floor. A normal cat looks for save spots, corners, places up high…well, he doesn’t. When we’re cooking dinner it copies our dog and joins in their favorite sport: trying to seek a spot on the kitchen floor that is as much in the way as is possible. (even mimicking the pose)
When I meet him outside he just lays in the middle of the sidewalk or even the (rather quiet) street.
Alternatively, on the couch, he picks out the person with the fleece-jacket or -blanket and takes possession of the person right about the time that person was thinking about standing up to complete some errands.

During this heatwave: in the attic, under the roof, on a pile of matrasses covered with plastic, hidden behind old sleepingbags wrapped also in plastic. Oh, and she’s not our cat, she lives two doors away from us….

I had to annoy my kitteh not to sleep between my legs at night. Now she sleeps on the pile of blankets… or her favorite spot (since we’re moving) is the highest box in the stack. Ceiling cat likes to be close to the ceiling…
They LOVE laps…but if there isn’t a lap available they like the tops of the couch cushions. My poor cushions are now smooshed and not at all pretty looking.

Kitteh sleep on top of hoomin! Lotz of room in dubble bed, but no, she sleep on hoomin’s hip evbry nite. Is a richual.
I had one that did that. He would settle down with left paws on one side and right paws on the other side of me (I sleep on my side) and just nod off. It was fine until he reached 17 1/2 POUNDS (!) and then he couldn’t maintain his balance. At that point he moveed up onto my pillow above my head.

My bed, every chair, the kitchen counter, the window sills…pretty much wherever there is a surface. Oh, and one of my cats DOES sleep routinely in her own kitty bed. Out of the 3, she is the only one that does that.
My cat is the usual schroedinger cat. He’ll disappear and I can spend hours searching for him, only for him to emerge from a cupboard I’ve already turned out 3 times looking for him.

We have a recessed area at the top of our walls. We call it ‘the loft’. My Siamese Romeo, jumps up to the counter in our kitchen, onto the fridge, and up to the loft. It extends into the living room and is the full length of one side of the living room. He loves to go up there and sleep. So much in fact, I had to put his own bed up there for him! Too cute!!
All of the above, mostly in my bed, but will sleep on any soft surface – including chairs & sofa & my lap. Will sleep on hardwood floor if necessary!
My cats follow the sunshine. That means the kitchen floor in the morning, my bed or the living room floor in the afternoon.
When its not sunny outside they sleep on any horizontal surface. One of them loves the top of my dresser, 4 feet above the floor. Another loves to sleep on the dirty laundry in the basket in the bedroom.
My deaf, senile cat likes to sleep in a broken part of the old toolshed ceiling where the beams are exposed, a good ten feet off the ground. The only problem is there’s a leak up there. Despite this, even if she is getting soaked, she will not move. This is a fat cat and she will lay on one beam with all four limbs dangling into space and SLEEP that way. She only comes down to use her box or eat, or complain to me about the leak.

She used to have a bed, and she used it occasionally, but prefers laying directly on the table over the radiator.

Everywhere and anywhere they can get to, which is convenient to them…Kessie is atop a file box in my office, Hildie is on the bed with my wife (kitteh comforts her when she’s not feeling well), Chessie is on the kitty shelf at the back window and Teia is under the nightstand.

Kittehs Josie and Norm – we sleep wherever we want! Josie mostly on the chesterfield, and Norm in great grandpa’s old upholstered rocking chair. Sleep spots are best if there is a sunbeam in the area. Or crinkly tissue paper. Or newspaper if there is no crinkly tissue paper. Or anything hand knit by mom with real wool. Or snacks. Or catnip toys. Or other toys. Well, really wherever we want!
My cat sleeps in one of three places: on my bed (especially if it’s cold and I have an extra blanket on top); on the blanket when it’s next to the radiator (both summer and winter); and on the dining room chairs — she knows when we’re soon to have company and need to use those chairs because she goes and sleeps on all six of them in rotation to make sure they’re nice and fur-covered.
One sleeps behind my bedroom door. A very popular spot for all my kittehs is on the clean laundry.
I have 6, one sleeps in the back hall, 3 in the kitchen, one on the coffee table and one on an end table. Then there’s the community recliner they all share, as well as my bed but during the day they are in those spots =^.,.^= meow!

The couch, closet, boxes, bed, floor, ontop of me, my laptop, even in the middle of the floor. XD My cat’s are pretty much everywhere, but those are the most common places. Also, my she-cat sleeps under my desk in a corner, or on my desk chair since it’s most likely pulled out.
About half the time in MY living room chair and the other half in a cardboard box.

My kittehs fight over a suitcase that they have comandeered since my last vacation. We put the kitteh bed on top of it to encourage them to sleep in the bed, and they decided to sleep on the fridge or under our futon instead. They are very anti-kitteh bed, to the point we’ve actually put it on top of things as a deterrent for getting on certain areas (the drafing table). If not one of those places, they sometimes frequent the people bed.

I’m kittehs usually sleep on the couch. The one is always on top of the cushions making them get all disoriented and driving my mom nuts. Sometimes, it looks like she’s going to disappear into the couch.
My daughter’s cat sleeps in a basket at the end of the kitchen counter or in the basket in the tv room or in the box in the living room or climbs the ladder into my daughter’s loft bed or anywhere she might want to sleep. My job is to keep the cat happy.

Oliver likes the window sill, the couch, sometimes my bed, any laundry basket, empty or full, and has taken to the dog’s cage! Tabitha likes the dining room chairs. When they’re all pushed in, they touch and form a little fort for her. She also likes to sleep on my bed in the afternoon, and I even found her on Max’s (dog) bed yesterday. Max likes to sleep wherever I am. And they all take turns on the spare bed!
Libby will sleep anywhere warm. Mouse & Zoe love to sleep on my craft table, especially when I’m working with glues & resins that their hair sticks too. And Zoe, most of all, loves to sleep on pizza boxes; from the minute they come in the house until we physcially remove her to put them in the trash.
Lately, the 16-month-old kitten has been sleeping on top of the kitchen cabinets. I can’t reach him up there, so this is great fun. Both cats enjoy sleeping on the screened porch, or the bed, or the floor, or in a basket, or…

Much must be factored in – weather, time of day, placement of temptations (hoomins, laptop, clean laundry) so …. on me/on couch, mah lap, sun (any size spot), on bed, under bed, mah husband’s lap (purrfurred over mine), on a crinkly sack, on mah desk, in laundry basket, on chair under glass table, on her own pedestal (yes really – formerly an end table, now topped with a cushion and placed in front of the french doors from optimal sun/bird-y viewing in summer and roasting by the fireplace in winter) and doan know where (cannot find, but can summon by shaking box of Bertie Bott Beans) …. but at night must be cheez in the love sandwich and seep between mah pillow and mah husband’s pillow …. awwwwww ….

Well, I bought a bed from that place called Build a bear workshop. It is like this silky pink lepord bed and mah cat sleeps in that thing under the table! Of corse, she also sleeps with me! She has about every bed in existence and she sleeps in that! Lol!!!!!!

Would I prefer them to sleep in their nawt cheep store bought beds? Absolutely but the odds of that happening are nawt gud either.

My cats (4 of them) usually sleep with or on me in the winter, but in the summer they sleep anywhere they like!
The kitties sleep with us at night in the bed (hogs!), but during the day, one has a permanent spot on the back of the couch looking out the big window. There will forever be a huge divot there and it is continuously covered in cat hair. But the neighbors say they enjoy watching the cat watch the world from his perch.
The other sleeps all over the place, but prefers piles of papers on the table and other inconvenient places.

My cat sleeps in the Cat Box. It’s just a cardboard box we got from something we bought off of Amazon, but whenever we let him in he goes straight for it. Sleeps in it for hours.
She sleeps in a cardboard box, that has her name written on it. So, it is somewhat “made” for her. She never got in the pricey bed I bought her and when it’s cold she sleeps in my bed. However, during the day, you’ll find her in her box.

At night Tom sleeps on the washing machine. During the day… anything goes. Some of the more interesting places are around a floor lamp, on the dining room table (this is new), in my closet under an old doll bed and during the right time of the year, in a big pot on the patio just before the mums come up.
we can have a clean, wide open floor, and our cats will find the one thing laying there, be it a box, shoestring, or moms foot, and lay on it.

My cat likes to sleep in my room’s carpet but only when I’m not home. I realize this because of the black hair spot and somethimes I get home early and see her spreading there
1. On my desk, sprawled so she blocks my laptop monitor and the small tv beside the laptop, and so her feet interfere with my mouse usage.
2. In any open dresser drawer. She’ll pull open the drawers in my bed’s base, to sleep in one for a while.
3. On my kitchen counters, especially if I have something cloth on it, like a reusable shopping bag or a dish towel.
4. In the bathroom sink, she’ll pull the hand towel in with her.
5. On the doormat.
6. In winter, I turn on my electric blanket an hour or so before going to bed. She LUVS to sleep in my bed, then, and will get territorial about me getting in with her. A twin bed is fine for one person, but I need to get a bigger bed to accommodate her, too.

My cat sleeps EVERYWHERE EXCEPT his bed!!!! In the winter, he will occasionally sleep on my bed, but most often he sleeps:
1. The stools in front of our bay windows, which he tends to fall off of.
2. The mat in front of the door, so even if he’s asleep he can try to escape the house when we open the door.
3. In the living room or the hallway in the summer, which has nice, cool hardwood floor.
4. If he can get away with it, the kitchen counter.
5. Under the dirty, spiderweb-y, dusty buffet!
Places that I made for him that he will NOT sleep in! : his cardboard tootsie rolls bed with heated blanket; a little kitty condo; my lap (most of the time, anyway); etc. etc. etc.!!!
If he ever does sleep in the place I made for him, he changes his mind three times a month. The above five places are the only spots he will go back to; with everything else, it’s a constant rotation!!!

The Princess Plenipotentiary has THREE distinct sleeping areas on my bed: at the foot and the head are flannel sleeping squares, each with a homemade bolster; in the middle is a copier-paper box lid (much-chewed) lined with tissue paper. She makes the rounds of each depending on the temperature and degree of stretching-out she needs to do (apparently one flannel square lends itself to stretching out, the other to curling up; I don’t ask for explanations). I’m just glad there’s enough room for me on the other side of the bed….

I don’t think there is a flat surface in my apartment my cat hasn’t slept on. Except perhaps in the bathtub. She doesn’t like the bathtub.
I have 4 cats. 1 sleeps with us a night most of the time. 2 sleep on the couch and one travel between the couch, our bed and a bed I made for him near our bathroom window.

My cat sleeps in a basket that’s supposed to hold felt and fabric, that’s on a shelf above my bed. Either that or he sleeps on top of my lizard’s cage

On top of the curio cabinet, in the cat tree crows nest, in the recliner(especially when someone human wants to sit in it), on my shoulders, in the garden window (after all the plants were kicked out), on my legs, on the kitchen floor (when it is hot)…. In other words… anywhere they like.
Mah kitteh sleeps wherever she feels like it…after she pees in mah room, apparently.

My Chair, on top of my dirty clothes on the floor, i have found him sleeping on my shoes…..and yet, NEVER in the basket we got for him to sleep in
