Jack looks like a nice Eclectus. You can’t scratch behind an Eclectus’ ear for them, they don’t like it. It has something to do with the different feathers they have on their heads.

My Lilac Crowned Amazon does this too. I’ve only seen him use a feather once or twice. His scratcher-of-choice is the crescent shaped food pellets. He will hold it in his foot and scratch his head. He goes into a trance. It’s hilarious.

Scratching his head is what this bird’s mate should be doing, but sadly it looks like this is another parrot kept alone.
Oh get over yourself, ass. This is obviously a very well cared for parrot. If you really DID own parrots, you would know that parrots kept in one-bird households can be VERY happy when well cared for (as this one obviously is) and that they bond more strongly with their human when alone, making them better pets, and more likely to be lovingly spoiled by their human. You’re just a jerk.
