  4. Val says:

sorry can’t cat speak. I also adopted brothers from a shelter and they are the best cats we have every had. If you ever have a chance to do this, it will be sooo rewarding.

    • Eve says:

I also adopted brothers from a shelter… they kiss, and cuddle and they like to be together all the time. Now I adopted another one, and the brothers just took her under their protection its amazing!

    • Eris says:

I have a brother/sister pair that used to be inseparable. Then we adopted a little calico kitten, and she took the sister’s place as the brother’s snuggle buddy. The calico and the sister can’t stand each other and are always hissing. It’s sad, really.

    • Matt says:

I adopted Butters, a Flame Point, from a shelter 5 years ago. Dunno what I’d do without him. Once we get more space, we may adopt another. That was a great video, btw! Thank you for adopting!

    • aleksa says:

I adopted a brother and sister from the shelter back in 2005, and they’re just like those two. I can’t imagine not wanting to adopt a set of siblings together.

  5. rae says:

    Ohai! Obai, MMM!

  6. Wendy says:

    Everybody Loves A Happy Ending.

    Cheers Glen.

  9. Laure and Rusty and Festus and Smokey says:

THanks for sharing your 2 beautiful boys – we have two “pair bonded”guys ourselves who were a little shook up lately by the adoption of a kitten – it started out being “he is just so little let him eat when he wants/take our toys/take our bed” now it is “that little bugger just punked me out of my toy/bed/human cuddles” but they all love each other and get along fine… Humans could learn alot from the example, eh? – when times get touch, stick together and be cute and it will all work out!

  10. Kryten says:

BISHOP & JONES…. Thats my cats names!

  11. Silver says:

  14. kate says:

our cats came from a shelter too. they were in the same cage and we assume that they are brothers. they were so small and scrawny and now they are big fat butterballs. i would not have done it anyother way than to have gone to a shelter.

  21. Mamainak says:

Great video! Just thought I’d say that it’s a great thing to adopt cats from both shelter AND stray cats. Both of my cats are from the street, one found hiding in the bushes as a small kitten and other one as a tame and cuddly adult. Give them a chance, cats know how to return love, just like dogs.

  22. Penandra says:

Thank you for sharing your two guys with us. My cats (Winston Churchill Handsome and Harry Truman Handsome — the “Handsome Boys”) are brothers that I adopted. They, too, sleep curled around each other, play with each other, chase each other and are the best amusement in the world. I am so grateful that they came to live with me — and that your’s came to live with you!

  23. VincentVanCrow says:

Don’t forget the Goggies…. I wish I was in the states so I could get one of these beauties… http://www.poomixrescue.com/dog_search_results_new.php?dtype=Doodle&sort=dogstatus&submit=submit

    Can’t find any in Canada : (

  24. Bethany says:

It was 5 years ago TODAY that I got my boys – brothers – found under the shed (along with their sister, who lives with a friend). They were 2 1/2 weeks old, and about 7 oz each. My little buttons, all grown up! *sniff*

  25. Phantasmagorical!!!! PURRRRRRFECT video.

  26. Evvie's Mom says:

EXCELLENT! I’m glad to say my Evangeline came from the same place (she’s my soul-cat). I like their attitude, their methods – I wish you as much joy of those lovely boys as my Evangeline provides for me!

  27. dooflotchie says:

What a sweet video! I loved it. Guys who love cats are the best. I converted my husband into a cat guy when we were dating. I think it was maybe the 3rd date, he was coming to my place for the first time and I told him flat out, “I have cats. I always will have cats, so believe it when I say don’t ever tell me to get rid of my cats, because I will get rid of *YOU* before *ANY* cat.” He said OK, and things progressed from there.

3 years later when I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my 12 year old cat down he was right there beside me, bawling his eyes out just the same as me. I can’t even tell you how much I loved him at that moment. 4 months ago we went through that again with my 10 year old and he was the same, he loved her as much as I did.

We have 4 FurKids now, and they were all rescues. Never had a cat that wasn’t from a rescue, shelter or directly off the street. Our youngest cat came to us in a shocking way: an 85 year old woman carried her into the pet store we both work in and said, “I don’t want this kitten. I want to drop her off right now.”

Much to my utter horror, I looked down and saw she had a 5 week old blue tortie kitten IN A PLASTIC GROCERY BAG. I (almost) hate to admit, at that moment I actually *did* want to punch an old lady. I reined in my rage and just growled through gritted teeth, “Give me that kitten NOW. You’re not walking out of here with a kitten in a plastic bag!” I was terrified of what she would do with her if I let her leave.

The DustBunny will be 5 years old in December!

  28. Karen Lee says:

I also adopted two brothers from the animal shelter here in Tampa, Florida. They are nine years old and HATE to be separated. Their personalities are like yin and yang, but they both love and crave attention.

If you are going to adopt, please consider taking two instead of one … and if you pick siblings you’ll make two kittehs vewy vewy happi!

  29. Sarah says:

Heeey wait…that’s not a lol. Just cuteness. I want my minute back.

  30. jarrett622 says:

Love the video and the story. Made me very happy for the two kitties. Bless you!

  31. Carola says:

    Best video ever!!!!

  32. Tiger's Mom says:

way to make my sob like a sissy girl.

  33. opheliac1889 says:

Please please PLEASE adopt from a shelter! It’s kitten season right now and here in Redlands, CA, at the Redlands Animal Shelter on 504 Kansas St., we are just full to the brim and getting more every day! And don’t forget the older cats. With all the cute babies, the older ones get ignored and eventually put down. I don’t want that to happen!!!!

Remember, for every cat you get from Craigslist, newspaper, or street corner, that’s one more cat at the shelter that doesn’t get a home… Think of the kitties!!!!

And please, spay and neuter your pets. Thank you.

  34. Diana says:

I fostered a mama kitty from the local SPCA and ended up adopting 2 of the 8 kittens. Luv my two boy kitties!

  35. Jeff says:

This is such a great video. I LOVE your boys. So handsome and playful. After moving into my house from an apartment, I decided my orange boy “Doc” needed a playmate so went to the shelter and saw this beautiful 8 week old long haired calico with the most unique marking on her nose (like someone took a sharpie and painted her nose black) Fell in love immediately, turns out the kitty in the cage with her was her sister/littermate. A short haired Tortie..They were there with another sister and brother but they had been adopted. Also they shelter was doing a adopt one get a second half off. I decided I couldn’t break up the family anymore so I brought the girls home to be with their big brother….Shelter pets are the best!

  36. Nerobus says:

I adopted a brother and sister pair… we couldn’t separate them :) and they are perfect together. They bath each other and sleep together.

They have made friends with the other cats in the house, but those two always have a special bond. They are 8 years old now, and still doing fabulous.

  37. CB says:

I had 3 siblings, Nichy, Mac & Peaches. From when 8 wks old, from foster home. They loved ea. other very much. Lost Nichy few yrs ago, then Peaches last summer. My Mac went this past December – 20years old. Hard to see that old boy go. Used to sleep with me @ nite with his cheek against mine or even sometimes his nose to mine! They were all so wonderful, I’m sad.
(So sorry, just feeling a little blue, will tell funny, sweet stories re them in future.)

  38. thefelinepunk says:

Bishop and Jones… as in the android portrayed by Lance Henriksen in Aliens and the name of Ellen Ripley’s pet cat? That’s freaking sweet dude.

My friend’s cat is named Ripley. I named her. ^_^

  39. Lawlin says:

Ai yoosed to wrk at teh Dane County Humane Society. Such nice kittehs there!
