I am the library cat.

funny pictures of cats with captions

I am the library cat. This is MY beanbag chair. You will be quiet and orderly. You will not throw books. IF you prove yourself worthy, I will let you pet me, and I may even come sit on your lap. In the meantime, I am watching you…

  14. Daisy says:

Speaking of library cats…I finished reading a book about Dewey, the world-famous library cat from a small farming town in Iowa. Search this book on Amazon and get a copy, you’ll find it an enjoyable read (if a little sad in the end)!

    • D-R says:

      It is very awesum. :)

    • Teddysmom says:

It’s a wunnerful buk, but I cried at the end.

    • outworldcats says:

I get a little too emotional reading book with sad endings. When I read Robert A. Heinlein’s book “The Cat Who Walked Through Walls” and it looked like he killed off the kitten from the title in the end, I was sooo mad. Felt like going out and committing mayhem. Not a good thing for a John Goodman/Brian Blessed-size person. Fortunately, in the next book the kitten had made it through. Later he was even adopted by the folks in Spider Robinson’s “Callahan’s Bar” series, after RAH passed away.

      • OnleeKitteh says:

ohh – but “Dewey” iz uplifting book. Him gotted reskued adn libed a bery long aktive life. Da lady da reskued him iz a bery nice lady who retired a coupla years aftur Dewey went ober da bridge. Adn she’s supposedly workin on da skreen play wif a great aktress who will play her in da mobie.

  16. Alan says:

Wish there were a way to get this one as a poster–my Mom is a librarian, and this one would go great in their young adults area.

    • outworldcats says:

If you have access to a printer, saving a copy of the picture to your computer (right-click on picture, choose “Save as” and save it somewhere you can FIND it) and printing it works pretty good for an 8 1/2 by 11 inch poster. If you need it larger, you’ll have to use an image manipulating program, I use a free one called Paint.net, and adjust the size. The bigger you blow it up, though, the “fuzzier” the picture will get. Then you’ll probably have to take it somewhere like Staples or Kinkos to print it, they have special large-economy-size printers for such stuff. I’ve had a few 8 1/2 by 11 ones hanging up for a few years now, printed with a $50 HP inkjet printer. The “Don’t worry, I’m from Tech Support!” one always gets a laugh from visitors.
