The Random button /IS/ still there, it’s just at apoint where you HAVE to scroll down to find it. (On the right hand side on post of ‘em.)

I think LOL letters are a bit excessive. Suggest to replace them with “I made you a cookie but i eated it” cat, Monorail Cat and Dr Tinycat.
Hope the pictures are bigger than the advertisements.

The layout was just uploaded here in the UK as of typing this. I think it’s cool, but please put the random button in the banner. And the “CHEEZBURGER presents” bit is a bit excessive. 4.5*
Now it has been rolled out I can see more clearly the effect. On the whole I think it is an improvement. Brighter and action packed!
I spotted a new friend request in the “My Cheezburger” box. I had noticed the emails take a lot longer to arrive and it hasn’t come even now I have checked my new friend’s profile and sent them a message. So it is good.
On the other hand, all the stats gathering from Tweets and profiles are slowing the refresh down and not all of us around the world have an internet speed that matches what you would get in Seattle. When you add a lot of comments then you need to refresh the page a great deal.
Possibly shrinking the banner a bit would help fit the page on smaller monitors. I’ve got 1280×800 pixels on my laptop and the browser toolbars take some of the height; your ads on top take some more height and the first Lolcat picture isn’t visible without scrolling.
Overall it’s pretty good, thanks.

Thanks Bob, but what I mean is that there is only the top inch of the picture visible when I first open the link to the LOL. I imagine I’m not alone in using the toolbars in the browser (Menu bar, Navigation bar, Bookmarks, tabs for other sessions and a WP bar because of my WordPress account. With the advert on top, it pushes the LOL down so I only see the first inch of the top of it. It’s OK if I use a wheel mouse to scroll or slide the scroll bar or click the link “Go to Top” (at the bottom) but having to scroll immediately the page opens to see the picture is contrary to good design. I could zoom out the browser but my eyes aren’t what they used to be

BTW CHEEZES,
Did you know there is a problem with the cookies on ICHC since you went to the new format? People who have Privacy set to High (one spot down on the slide in Control Panel / Internet Options) cannot add successive comments in the same ICHC browser session.
To get around this, some users are setting their Privacy to Low but this is not a good solution.
Perhaps you can have your tech staff look at this, please?
(I am not affected because I don’t use IE and I have custom cookie settings on my browser).
