**Lolspeak on hold** I am very happy to tell you that we have Nicky back home. About four weeks ago, the wind blew open our front door and Nicky escaped. All attempts at luring him back were unsuccessful. We bought a humane trap – we caught a stray black cat, a stray orange and white cat, a stray calico cat, and a possum. Nicky got caught as well but escaped because we did not have the trap assembled correctly. We kept leaving food out and we had occasional sightings but he would bolt whenever he saw us. Last night, he scritched at the garage door but bolted again when I opened the door. He was also right at the front door and bolted once again when I opened it. The trap was in the garage, still set. He was caught by the trap about an hour and a half ago. I think he “wanted” to get caught.
He looks very dirty and bedraggled. We will take him to the vet to have him checked out in a day or two – we don’t want to put him in a cat carrier right away as he just got trapped and we want to avoid any more trauma.
We have five cats again. Nicky is following BoomBoom around like a puppy. Missy is hissing and spitting at Nicky. Nicky is hissing and spitting at Chuckie. Cleo is on tables and counters to avoid being in the middle of the cat fights.
