Over on a remarkably entertaining site about professionally-decorated cakes gone wrong, the powers-that-be have gotten into the spirit of holiday giving. Since last Friday, the writers of the blog have picked a different charity each day, have donated $200 to whatever charity it is, and have asked that their readers donate $1 — just $1 to the charities they find appealing. They want to show how small gestures from everyday people can make a big difference to others.
Today’s charity is Puffy Paws Kitty Haven. It’s a no-kill, no-cage shelter that specializes in taking care of special-needs kitties.

oh, don’t i know it…the last two of the Spooklets i still have in my apartment are quite well-grown now. Snowflake is taller and longer than both Spooky and their surrogate auntie, the Tonya-monster…little Butterscotch has proven to be the long-term runt of the litter and is only about the size of a 8-9 month old at 16 months, but is otherwise perfectly healthy according to the vet, who was astonished at how otherwise well behaved the little monkeys were when i took them for their first exam and shots
Funny thing is, even as big as they are, the two young geniuses have the habit of knocking Tonya over and trying to nurse off of her even though she’s never had a litter of her own
