This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Apart from the last cat being black, there is absolutely nothing about any of the other cats that particularly resembles any of the previous Presidents. Had they actually been clever cat caricatures, it would have been cool, but just randomly assigning cat faces fails hard.
That’s because it’s just trying to treat Obama’s blackness as funny; it has no purpose other than that. Which would make it racist. Yay, fun! ::sigh::

Although I do agree that there is nothing overtly political about this shirt, my first knee jerk reaction was that this was lame. And although I can’t point out any one specific thing, I am not a fan of this shirt being on LOLcats. I like my politics everywhere, except my games and my LOLcats

Looking only at the cat-presidents of my lifetime, I notice that the Republican presidents are portrayed with either dumb or mean faces. The Democrats have either blank faces or in Clinton’s case, a sly grin.

Even more important, it reflects this:
the general population, the majority with a brain, doesn’t look at a kitty and say, omg..it’s black or brown or whatever so it must be different!
No, they know it is just coloration.
I think it is delightful and sweet to represent the difference in this President in that same manner…just like a kitty with different coloring.

Hi Kafleen, your repeated offers to help non-US people to order T-shirts is greatly appreciated and very kind. The point though that non-US people repeatedly make is that it actually isn’t that hard to send stuff through the mail to non-US addresses (you seem to manage, why can’t ICANHAS? – I am able to receive items from the LOL-store but not from these once only T-shirt offers?). This doesn’t seem to be getting resolved and until it does, people will keep making a point about how irritating and exclusive it is.
That said, your help is appreciated.

Hey peeps at the top!!! Get a sense of humor! It’s polotics in LOLcat form. I mean whats next? Sarah Palin as a kitteh! Or maybe Rick Perry. Or Tger Woods. A “bad boy of 2009″.
Yeah, this shirt is a good _idea_, but the only one who really bears any resmeblance to any president is the Obama cat – not because of the colouration, but because of that wide-eyed rapturous look. The Reagan cat doesn’t even make any sense, unless one thinks “old and tired”. Neither does the Bush I cat. And the fourth one up from the left looks more like a Kitler than anything.
They should redo this, but with an actual political caricaturist doing the drawings.
