teh kittehs have been with the in-laws so they won’t be stressed by the strange moving men. However, in a few days we’re gonna stuff them in the evil carriers and bring them to a strange house! any thots on making the move less stressfull?

Another thing, don’t feed them on moving day until you get them to the new house. They will settle down quicker if they are hungry and you feed them.

Good luck! My kittehs have moved a few times, my kitteh now, she usually adapts to the place pretty quickly but perhaps a week or so later will start to call and cry around the house for a week or so. She seems to be confused that she’s not going back to her old home, but soon settles down. Having all of your old furniture and bedding and your kittehs’ toys will be a big help like everyone has said! This also helped my kitteh relax – I put a few towels (she loves to lie on them) or blankets that she’s familiar with in a quiet closet that she could retreat to when she was feeling a bit overwhelmed.
I has moved with my kitteh twice in the last 12 munfs, they is going to be stressed for atleast 3 to 4 days, kittehs does not like change.
Keep their familiar fings handy, some toys, bowls demz eatz in, nipz etc.
A blankee that they likes.
Restrict them to room fur a cuppla days, I have found that they does not like empty house, can you move them after you has some furnishoors in the gnu haus?

the kittehs don’t mind the carrier tooo much. I’m more worried about them deeling with a strange new place. Having shirts and stuff that smell like us around is a great idea.
Not so much that as taking enough litter box/ water breaks on a long trip to help prevent kidney problems later.
