Oh, I hope your kitty gets better, Griffyn! Tommy just slipped so suddenly, you know how they are. They’re so good at hiding illness until they’re really sick. He was find until a week ago Sunday, then Monday he didn’t want to go out at all, and he usually races to the door. Tuesday, same thing and I called the vet and they couldn’t see me until Wednesday. He was already pretty sick by then, and the antibiotics I got on Thursday (after bloodwork results came in) didn’t seem to help. He’s lost almost a third of his weight, he’s down to 8 pounds and change, and used to be 12 earlier this year. He’s only 10 years old, it’s too young to be this sick. He seemed a little more lively when we got back from the vet today, and I hope he’ll eat some more soon or his liver is going to take a hit. We’ll get updated bloodwork results tomorrow. *sigh*

Well, vet talked me into trying some more things, so Tommy is still here for now. We’ll see how this goes. We need to get him eating again, and he’s on another antibiotic, he got fluids this morning and a steroid shot as well, and we’re rechecking his blood cell counts to see if anything has changed since last week. He actually ate a little something this morning before we went to the vet. Thanks, everyone, for your concern and care. It means a lot.
