I has wun kitteh (Mitts) who is mai byootimus bebeh (though not really a bebeh- she be awlmost 3 yeers owld) an I lubs her BERRY much. I haz had her ever since she was 2 munfs owld (she be a reskew kitteh). Nao, a frend of myne has a 2 munf owld kitteh dat be needing a fureber hoam. I iz finking about adoptifying him. He has da cyoot an he kinda matches my Mitts (just mini-mitts vershun). Has other cheezpeeps adoptifyed a kitteh after havin just wun for a cupplol of yeers? Duz you rekomend it? Hao did your kitteh adjust?
Mai Mitts is a littlol wary of other beeg kittehs (Mitts is awn da small side – she be full grown an barely 8 pounds) but I used to be a foster mommeh to reskew kittehs an she seemed to handle da littlol kittehs pretty well – to her dey was floofy fings to play wif! Anyway…..thoughts??

I haz added anuver kitteh to an household wif 3 uver kittehs seberal years older and it worked just fine. New kitteh and uver kittehs took a few days to get “pecking order” worked out, but eberyfing wuz fine.
Ai haz brotted gnu kittens into teh howse wif older kittehs moar den wunce & haz nawt bin a problem. It mite be ruff fur a kupplol uv dayz, but den teh older wun will get yoosta teh gnu wun.

Fur da new kitteh and Dini to be getting used to each uver – take a couple uf towels, let each wun sleep onna it tunite. Den tomorrow switch towels. Dat way each kitteh be getting more used tu da uver wun wif smells. Might make it eazier to get together 4 real. Might has to be keeping 2 litterboxes alla time just in case. When dey be eating, feed in two separate locations at furst, den mobing bowls closer together. Pretty sun u haz two happi kittehs?

Another suggestion I’ve seen is to get them in the same room, but with one under an upside-down laundry basket (one with big enough holes that kitties can see/smell eachother, but small enough to prevent fighting). After a little while, separate the kitties so the previously loose one is under the basket & the previously basket one is loose.
ooo – datz a gud idea too. Nawt ebery “helpful hint” works ebery time wif ebery kitteh. Sumtiems u just haz to try different fings. Ai fink dat it be best to try to get gnu kitteh onna Fridegg so you can stays hoem wif both and moderate behaviors. Course – it nawt always possible to do dat.
