Dear Cheezfrnz,
In September of 2007, we launched our company with this amazing community. And at the onset of the worst economic crisis of our time, I quit my day job in order to run ICHC from my living room couch. Cheezburger Network is now one of the largest blog networks in the world. Our second book, How to Take Over Teh Wurld is still on the New York Times bestseller list for the 4th week in a row. Thanks to you, our users, we’ve grown to more than 20 sites and now reach more than 11 million people around the globe every month.
Today also marks another milestone for us. When we began, we didn’t know what we wanted to be when we grew up. We didn’t even know who we were. We’re far from grown up, but we know more about who we are and why we’re here. We want to enable you to share your sense of humor, share what you find funny with each other and the rest of the world. We want to make you happy for a few minutes each day. This is now the mission of the Cheezburger Network.
We’d like for you to know us better as a company and as a group of people working hard to make your life a little bit happier each day. And we promise to share with you our successes and *eh hem* fails.

I think all the laughing has actually improved my health. And my wonderful friends here were such a marvelous support group last year when I was going through such traumatic times.
And I know there are many stories just like mine. You’ve changed so many lives for the better with your sites. I know you DO know what an effect you’ve had – and that you’ve remained your own dear lovable self. But you know – I think this is the essence of what draws us all here. So many dear lovable people!! And you at the head of it all.

O hai, guise! Happy annivershury! I has been trying to think of a way to express my gratitude for 2+ years of lols and friendship but I can only echo what others have said. I want to do something special only RLS (real life syndrome) prevents me from writing a new song at the moment. However, there was one I wrote a month or so ago that sums up my sentiments nicely. It was written for the Cheezstock concert we held in the comments at the end of August, which event turned into a full-on celebration of what is so great actually about ICHC. When I first started receiving pet pics with funny sayings on my e-mail, they brightened my day. When I actually found the cheeseburger site, especially the LOLCats and LOLDogs section, it became a daily habit. There have been times when I’ve got giggling and my husband has thought I’ve lost my mind.

I had visited this site at noon “atwerk” daily to get some stress relief, lurking at just the pictures. Then I ventured into looking at the comments. Learning ICHC language was a challenge for a while, then it started making sense. Cweenmj was my first contact and gave me permission for my name. I still mostly lurk, but do venture commenting in the evenings at home & on weekends.

As you mentioned with the ecoonmic crisis the way it is it’s been a very stressful time for all of us. Many of us are taking multiple paycuts while our employers demand higher productivity and more responsibility. ICHC has ben a MAJOR source of stress relief to me, I even disussed it with my supervisor who is also feeling his share of pressure from above. He and his wife will be looking at ICHC daily now too. Thank you for the creative outlet and laughter. (I especially love bashing politicians) I have written nearly 1700 lols, I only write them when I’m stressed, so I’ve been stressed a LOT.
