That were ouchie sounds. I think his tooth was stuck on the metal rim.
Yeah, the poor little guy’s tooth was definitely caught. Watching the kitteh owner yank the can away kind of made me squirm a bit. Like, is it really that difficult to stop and investigate for a minute why your cat is screaming like hell before you start tugging at its body?
Perhaps not at the start, but by the end the kitten was probably caught…though it is difficult to tell when your cat latches on to a tin like that! =)
How does a tooth get stuck on an opened can?
Hooked on the rim. The cat’s panic reflex is to pull away, which only prevents him from unhooking himself. If the owner had pushed the cat toward the can, rather than trying to pull him away, he probably would have been fine.
Can we not bring this one back anymore? It’s kinda painful to watch.

Yeah.. That cat is emaciated and CLEARLY starving. There’s really nothing funny about this video at all. It’s actually heartbreaking to see someone having fun at the expense of this poor cat.
It looks like a recent rescue to me. It obviously is not in good health, but the other cat looks well enough that, IMO, the kitten was only recently brought into good care.
However, yes, the whole pulling thing was rather maddening, though the fact that the owner didn’t let the cat eat out of the tin was good.

Ummmm, the cat’s teeth got stuck. I agree with Skeeter-ouchie sounds. And his genius parents seem to think yanking a metal can away from his mouth is not only the solution, but also FUNNY.
I wonder if he latched on in the first place because he’s feral and food supply was previously inadequate.
The kitty could also cut his mouth on the sharp can rim, as well as getting tooth stuck. People should keep kitty from doing this.
It would have been simple to detach kitten from can by reaching over upper jaw and putting thumb and forefinger in his mouth. Then they wouldn’t risk hurting the kitty or his teeth.
Or just a little fingertip, and gently detach can from kitty. Move jaw up and can down.
Even if the cat was hanging on, on purpose, and not stuck, yanking the can away is a bad idea because it could hurt the kitty.
When was the last time little fuzzy face was fed?
I think these people probably reacted as well as they could to a weird situation. It doesn’t mean they’re ignorant, or uncaring…probably just taken aback. The guy started to pull the kitty away but then realized it was a bad idea. Cats do a lot of unexpected things, and sometimes it takes a couple seconds to figure out what is even going on.
Also, the kitty seems to get over it pretty fast.

At first I thought it was cute because of the kitty and its
human pulling the can back and forth but on second watch, I
noticed how sad it actually it, especially after what
everyone was saying about it.
There is nothing cute after all about, this is actually a sad
sight.
What I don’t like about these comments is how everyone is so eager to scream abuse, or that people are ignorant.
Sometimes, in a situation like this, owners are simply surprised by what;s going on and don’t take the time to see if their cat’s tooth is really stuck or not, all they know is their cat bit the can and they wanted it to stop. They weren’t mean to it, the guy obviously was trying not to hurt it by pulling too hard…
The kitten is fine, it’ll be fine, it was one little incident where it got its tooth stuck on something, oh no. If it’s a feral cat like some people seem to say, it’s probably had worse. Clearly it’s in a good home and it’s probably the worst it’ll encounter for a while.
Lighten up.
The dude in the clip isn’t the brightest bulb. Bravo on potentially shredding the kittens mouth on the sharp edges of the can and trying to yank its teeth out while it is vocalizing in pain.

And it wasn’t really “stupid stupid stupid” with the fork. After all, he put the fork down and never did anything with it.
I don’t believe I saw the kitteh’s mouth “shred”. I agree, that it was stupid to yank, but he was probably surprised and didn’t know how to react. He could have done a lot worse to the kitteh.
