I think this pic is sad. Look at the cat’s back feet. Toes are not pointing down as if he is jumping upwards. They are pointing up as if he was just dropped from above by the person next to him. I think its lame to drop or throw cats for any reason, but especially just to get a pic posted here. You guys should speak out when people do this.
The fact that your concerned for the kitty shows you’re a good person, but I think it may be misplaced. If the kitty was dropped, he would probably already be in landing position by the time he got that close to the floor. I could me mistaken though
i think you may be under a misperception about the abilities of a falling cat. a cat can only right himself if he falls from high enough. cats falling from lower heights don’t have time to turn themselves around fast enough. regardless, i dare anyone to find a single photo of a cat (or human) in the midst of a jump UP that shows the cats’s toes pointing upwards. physics wont allow it to happen – the toes are necessarily used to push off the ground and are always pointing down. this kitty’s heels are pointing down, because he was DROPPED. i believe true cat lovers ought to withhold support from pics like this. it probably took a few attempts at dropping this kitty to get a good ‘ninja’ pic.
