Last Caturdai, Clementine crost teh brij. She was my sisters’gurl kitteh, butt I knoed her berry wel becus she hadded teh feline leukemia most ov her lief, an I gived her meds wen my sister trabled.
Clementine was byootimus BC wif teh long graesful legs ov a danser. She moobed liek danser, too – grabity ment nuffing to her. She hadded a qwiet but wikkid sens ov humer. She loved to hide in almost plaen site an watch teh hoomins hunt for her.
Teh reesin Iz postin is nawt to ask for hugs. Or stories aobut Clem in teh meddo – ai can’t heer teh werds “meddo,” “nite watchman,” or “brij” wifout leeky aies alreddy. I wanted to tell teh Cheezfrens wut I lerned from Clem.
FLV is a “speshul needs” cat, a cat wif a terminal illness. Troo – but Clem wus also a helfy cat up till 1 hour befor she crossed teh brij. She was diagnosed wen she wuz aobut a yeer old, an she lived aobut 18 monfs after taht. The nawt-sekund monf, she wuz nawt so helfy an she hadded extra vet bisits. Butt after taht, she hadded meds to taek an she saw teh vet aobut twice a yeer.
I fottetd taht habbin a speshul needs kitteh wus teh hard werk awl teh tiem, and bery expensiv, an kitteh was sik an misrible. Nun of tihs was troo for Clem. She hadded a short, happy, energetic, an mostly helfy lief.
So if ennybuddy owt tehre is finkin liek I did, taht a speshul needs kitteh is just too hard for tehm to handle – I finknotso anymor.

Thank u for sharing this story 2minions. Is tru, peepz shouldn’t be afraid of caring for special needs kittehs. I’ve had 2 and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. Max had chronic kidney disease. He had to have a pill everyday and IV fluids 2x a week, but after the initial diagnosis, you would never know he was sick to look at him. He lived a good, happy life for about 2 years after he got sick with no problems until about the last month before he crossed over the bridge a few months ago.
Max’s brother from another mother, George, was diagnosed with diabetes a few months after Max got diagnosed. He gets shots twice a day, but otherwise is just fine. George still thinks he is in charge of everything and doesn’t’let diabetes or the shots bother him a bit.
Don’t be afraid to care for a special needs kitteh – it is most definitely worth it.
I don’t let mai diabeetus shot bother me either, and I also think i’m in charge of everything.

My Sam, teh tuxeedoh kitteh, is “speshul needs” also, and ai no can emajun life without hims. him has libbed 5 years after hart attaks him, den he can has hai-purr thyroids, den him get teh diabeetus. Dis means 5 pills plus 2 shotses wib needuhl, ebberydai. Sometymes ai complayne when meds costes much monees, but hims totallee worth it.
