Sad news, I have it.
Skip this if you don’t want a sad.
My foster-babycat Belinda crossed the Bridge a few hours ago. we’ve had a respiratory virus running rampant in the household despite our best precautions. No one seems in life-threatening danger… except that Belinda was small and frail. We’d been syringe-feeding her kitten-milk for the past couple of days, but she crashed badly last night.
Seanya spent the morning holding her and coaxing a bit of milk into her, but her urinary tract and her bowels were shutting down, and she stopped accepting it around lunch time. Soon after, she was having visible breathing difficulty, and her mucous membranes began to turn noticeably blue.
The on-call Humane Society staff member ran to take her to the vet… where her suffering ended.
I’m trying to figure out what we could have done differently to have saved her. I’m not sure anything would have worked, including seeing a vet earlier.
Could you guys say a prayer for a tiny black-and-white girl, not even 6 weeks old, who went to the Meadow too young to have found her forever home? And that the rest of the furballs, resident and foster, all pull through this little virus with no other complications?

fank yoo, willy boy. i luked; unforchunately, teh no-kill shelters only take aminlols from teh open-intake shelters (county animal control, humane society) so yoo haz to turn teh cat in to thoze shelters an hope it gets adoptified or reskyood by teh reskyoo groops. dis kitteh sownds very adoptable, tho, so hopefully will wurk owt for him.

Thanks, all of you. Sorry I didn’t come back sooner, I was spending time with the rest of the furballs.
Knowing that we have awesome friends, support and love and sympathy, helps enormously. Knowing Belinda has gone to the Meadow wrapped in bright prayers is wonderful. To have friends who understand how the loss of a kitten who was only in our household a week or two can hurt so much is invaluable.

I have strange, but happy news 
We found a lost Corgi goggie in our yard today, and we took care of him for a few hours. He’s now at the pound *They promised me that he would not end up in the meadow, thanks to Sunshine Corgi rescue* But we dont know who the owners are =/. It had no tags, but it looked perfectly healthy and groomed. If in 3 days time the owners do not go get it *I hope they do D:*, then we may adopt it
