Hi, Gremlin – on the previous LOL, you said how big your kitty was getting – at the last v-e-t visit, my kitteh, a Maine Coon, had to be weighted on the goggie scale … at 25 pounds, he was too big for the kitteh scale … oh, the humiliation … at least it wasn’t the cattle scale! And he got put on a diet and is much trimmer now.

I read that Maine coons don’t reach full size till they are 3 to 5 yeerz old. Dexter duz nawt has teh floofy hayrs but he has sum uther Maine coon trayts – teh tufts on teh eerzies, teh luv of water, teh bold strypes on hiz frunt legs, teh chirping sownds he mayks.

Quick update, will try to post pics and a proper update later.
The new kitten-babies are definitely NOT weaned and really don’t know what to do with food much, although they’re mouthing at the tiny Babycat kibble a bit. They also aren’t able to urinate/defecate alone yet. This is going to be more work than planned. But they do seem otherwise functionally healthy, which is a good sign.
They are very beautiful, and love being handled. I think they’re still wondering where Mom is, though.
