Took advantage of the month and picked up my kitteh right at the end from the local shelter, decided on an older cat since my apartment’s a bit too small for a couple kittens. Best thing I ever did. He’s quite the cuddler and has already proven himself an lolcat at heart. I’m sure many fun pictures will be forthcoming. June may be over, but that’s no reason not to go look for an lolcat of your own!

we adopted our two kittehs from the vtes shelter service. my bella had just had kettens and was dumped in the parking lot. they never found the kittens but they both have a great life with us now

Dat are good thing about kittehs – dey are not taking up lots o’spaces sometimes, cause they like sleepies in little blobs. And asides, da diff’rence between habbing two kittehs and habbing four kittehs is how much gushifoods you have to feed dem and you haz to scoops the litterboks more offin. But da paybacks are, like, elebenty bazilliooms times better.

We went to a “Kitten Baby Shower” at our local shelter on Sunday. It was sooo cool…. and so clever of them to get people to come in and meet the kittens. They had stuff to buy and do… not enough people came but it was the first year. We put in our application for a kitten. Our 2-year-old cat came from that shelter. Our old cat came with the house. And the one before her too (but he died — we’ve had this house 19 years after all). Cross your fingers we get accepted for the kitten. This shelter has Dog Washes too. There is another shelter close by but we haven’t been there as often yet.

Found an 8 week old kitteh orphan under the dumpster at work. Took a week, but we caught her. I took her home to the dogs on Friday. Within 15 minutes she knew where the food and water was and was head-buttin’the smaller dog to get her to play. Gives me a warm fuzzy.

i adopted my baby kitty yesterday! any cat i’ve ever loved has been a shelter cat, or a rescue. i wish i could give them all a happy home, but this little girl is a good start.

I’d also like to stress the need to adopt an older cat. I work at PetSmart where we house our local humane society kittehs and the kittens are always gone within a few days, but the older cats, even just a year! are overlooked time and time again. We have a very sweet cat, aptly named Sweetie, who has been there for over two months, and only because she’s four years old.

I are a goggie person (plz to not be showing me de pointy ends, I likez the kitties too) adn I found my goggie in the park. I kept vizitating her there and askinged around iffen she was enybuddies, butt (!) nobodiez knew where she was from. Adn she was dirty adn wif alot off flees and ticks and … poor bebeh, needed a baf and a haircut … and a furrever hoam. And we gave her just taht. And she gave us her hart in return.
