I think we have achieved detente. I put a long post over there & they were very nice. Most of them realize that we’re a nice bunch of people, but lolspeak gives them headaches (which I can understand since reading it can be challenging at times – especially with a headache).
Much of their humor actually looks rather like ours (if a bit less family-friendly).
There apparently have been people going over there & being troll-like in lolspeak, but they openly theorized that the trolls are not really from here.

Actually, five years ago, I would have been on the anti-lolspeek brigade, and probably front and center leading the charge.
When I quit my high-tech engineering job and started working for myself, I lightened up considerably. My DH is a lot happier, too, although he doesn’t quite get the lolspeek either.
Neither does my BF. He knows it makes me laugh, and loves hearing the news, but it really makes his brain hurt trying to read it.

Two times I has gotten a “rogeue security” virus taht pretens to be Windows warning you about badnesses – it has a littul blue sheeld wif a white diagnoal stripe – and I’ve had to do an anti-virus sweep to get rid of it!! Eech time after posting on Failblog!
I have actually had problems here on ICHC a few times. Luckily, the anti-virus program here at work caught the problems. I notified the Grand Cheezes & they apparently checked through the ads which had been running on the site. I haven’t had a problem in a while. *knocks wood*

Snakes are nifty! I love how they feel. I wouldn’t mind having a snake if I could feed it kibble or something other than living prey. There’s no WAY I could feed little mice to one.
I’m horrified even thinking of it. I don’t think I could even feed live crickets to a snake. I will happily play with one for a while & then give it back to its person for feeding time.
