Continuing an experiment from a few days ago, it now appears official that if you upload a picture, and then make a LOL from it, and then delete the picture from your “pics” section, the LOL will remain in your LOL section. For a few days anyway. –At least if you save it with the “save and submit” option. I didn’t try the other way. The newest LOL in my LOL section was the experiment that tested this–the picture of the bear, kind of out of focus.

Teh Basemint Skwirl lives in a tree by my aunt’s home in Colorado Springs, CO. Tehy have a lot of em up there, tho not as many as the regular grey onez. According to Wikipedia they are just a color variation of regular Eastern Grey Squirrels, adn they used to be more common than the grey color, ’cause they could hide better in the dark woods. But nao teh woods aren’t as dark, so teh black squirrels get nommed easier. On the other hand, the black squirrels keep warm easier tahn teh grey ones, ’cause they absorb more heet from teh sun; so tehy win a few adn lose a few. Ohai mc! I’m sure that one of our kittehs is not a MainlyCoon, as she’s a fairly typical domestic shorthair (teh tuxie), but we’ve wondered whether our black longhair kitteh might be partly MC. She’s kinda small tho, and my understanding is that MC’s are mostly pretty generous-sized kittehs. She might be partly Persian but doesn’t have the squooshed face. Both are rescue kittehs so we don’t know much about their parentage.

Sounds liek you bi a gooood mama foar teh kittehz. Our two kittehs have allwais been indoor critters; we had indoor/outdoor kittehs teh first few years, but tehy were always comin home wif wounds and abscesses from cat-fights adn bites, and finally we lost one dear old kitteh who got hit by a car, adn after taht we just keepem inside. Adn tehy seem to do fine. Tehy chitter at teh birds through teh windows in teh mornings, but tehy get bored wif taht after a while adn go take a nap–adn then run around teh house like crazee at 0300 for no obvious reason… adn on teh rare occasions when tehy sneek out a poorly-closed door onto teh porch, tehy just flop over on their backs in teh sun adn rub on teh concrete adn get nice an dusty-dirty, adn then come back inside again. Adn rub teh dusty dirt on teh black trowser legs.
O, ai forgot– teh original _Chicago Days, Hoboken Nights_ got combined with another of his books, _Fish Whistle_, into a single volume–aifinkso it’s called _Hoboken Fish, Chicago Whistle_ but Ai may have taht backwards… annyway, still verri verri recommended!

Oyesh! Ai hadn’t seen taht one yet, but he’s written lots of books, mostly for kids of various ages but enjoyable by grownups too! A few yrs ago tehy put together two big collections of his classic kids’ fantasy/SF novels–called “5 novels” adn “4 Fantastic Novels”–both xcellent and still available. Ai still crack up reading “Borgel” and “Slaves of Spiegel.” I love the way his kids’ stories don’t shy away from using big words the kids will have to look up when they are appropriate to tell the story. Adn teh kids eat em up! Or so Ai’m told.
