        OP had hur turdz bath in turdteen yrz, las weak wen her wen tu da vet. Wen ai goed tu get hur, al ai seen were happidans tu be hom! It were vebby warm an ai haz air on, but ai opund up de slidydor fur hur tu haf sun-bath aferwortz.

      Sum cats needz teh baff and sum doan. I hab one dat neber has had (or needz a baff), one dat needz a few eech yeer, one dat needz a cuple a yeer, and one dat iz too young to kno iffs he will eber needz a baff. At our howse, it taeks bout ten minutes to wash and longer to blow dry – depending onna cat. Dey feel SO gud wen dey r done. Eech baff iz a liddlol easier as dey figure out wat to expect and calm down.

      Folks with asthma & cat-allergies (who keep cats anyway) sometimes can get less sick if they wash the kitteh about once a week. But the routine is more like a rinse really–doesn’t need shampoo, just pouring a big slosh of water over kitteh to wash off the dried cat-saliva residue from kitteh’s self-washing. A pity that those chain-mail gauntlets get so rusty tho… And of course, the whole issue of annoying the cat every week to keep the human healthy is sort of fraught, but it’s prolly better than sending kitteh back to the shelter…

    Takes two people to bathe cat. One to actually wash cat and one to keep saying, “Poor little kittah” over and over and over again. That’s how it is at our house.
