  1. Slashydutchie says:

    Ooh… fun game AND noms!

  2. Whitney Sickels says:

This game should be removed. Please don’t support cruelty to animals! http://www.iamscruelty.com/

  3. Merge says:

    Nom Nom Nom! I <3 it!! :)

  4. Nennepus says:

    Cute!
    nomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomboingboingboing!!!

  5. crueltycrusader says:

IAMS tests its products on animals (they’re owned by proctor and gamble). i’m disappointed ICHC would co-sponsor with a company that uses cats and dogs in horrible experiments. :(

    • what says:

Do you realize what makes veterinary medicine possible? ANIMAL TESTING. All medicines and medical procedures are required to be tested on animals before being used on people or being used in the veterinary field. There are vaccinations, chemotherapy, medical procedures, and all sorts of other things that make it possible for us to keep our pets and loved ones healthy that are ONLY possible because of animal testing.

  6. Jeff Hess says:

    Shalom Y’all,

Uh, you guys are aware of Walmart’s record on pet foods aren’t you?

    B’shalom,

    Jeff

    • Hai Jeff! You are right. All of you are right. I never shop at Walmart and I never buy Iams.

But. . .I hate to admit – I do think the game is fun. Couuldn’t we just play and ignore the Advertisements? I can – because I know I don’t use those places/things.

      Maybe everyone else can, too.

But – barring these – who do you recommend for sponsors for this game? Not putting you on the spot – but perhaps we could make some suggestions to the Cheezes.

  7. khereva says:

    “Sponsored by Wal-Mart.”

    No thank you.

  8. gizmosmom says:

lots of fun and cute design

  9. fayfran says:

    Addictive noms!

  10. tasha says:

    good marketing by IAMS

  11. bernadetteloh says:

Did anyone else have problems with it not calculating your score unless ALL of your turns were used up? I would have enough noms and a left over turn but it wouldn’t go to the next level til I wasted my turn. So no extra points! :(

  12. ichweiss says:

where is the lol celebs and lol news version

  13. Anton says:

NO way in hell I play anything sponsored by Iams. They can go screw them selfs. My friend also played the game and said that apart from loads of advertising its boring.. Its sad to see what ICHC have become, to cooperate with bastards at Iams.

  14. Rm says:

Fun game but did it HAVE to be Wal Mart?

  15. RAS says:

I’m so tired of everyone bashing Walmart. You zealots hate them. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get it. Fortunately, not all of us feel the same. We love our Walmart Neighborhood Grocery. No one can beat their prices on most grocery items and they employ a lot of people in our community. In this tough economic time, that sounds like a win-win situation to me.

    • Default_UserID says:

Spoken like a loyal Walmart employee. It’s clueless, uninformed people like you that keep monstrosities like SwillMart in business. Like those low prices do ya? If you thought about it, which you haven’t, you’d realize that those low prices come at the expense of somebody else.

      • a.s. says:

The sad thing is that it’s not just “somebody else” who pays the cost. The people who shop their pay too. Wal-Mart is the company store of America. The people who shop for “low prices” cost us all economically and environmentally.
As we all struggle more in the economy more and more people must shop at Wal-Mart to survive, taking their money from the tills of local businesses.
And don’t think, RAS, that they are able to give you those low prices simply because they buy in bulk. Wal-Mart has been known to reject manufacturer product unless they can get it at the price they want, which means that many manufacturers will actually make a lower-quality item or shorten it’s warranty just for Wal-Mart shelves so that they can come in under that price. You simply do not get the same quality at Wal-Mart.
Everything costs you something. Simply because you pay less currency somewhere does not mean you are getting the best deal.

    • a.s. says:

Also, those people in your community who are employed by Wal-Mart are paid sub-par wages and kept just below full time so that they are ineligible for company health benefits.
Food-stamps and medicare are part of Wal-Mart’s business plan. Your tax dollars at work.

    • no lapproev test on animaux says:

      don’t u guys have a co-operative store nearby?

  16. Jessica says:

This is a very cute game, but I really really wish it was sponsored by someone else.

  17. JLH says:

Perhaps we aren’t actually supporting Iams & WM just by playing the game. Do you think they get money for each view / game played? Some advertising works like this: the company that wants to advertise pays a fee for their ad to be displayed on a website, but don’t actually get any revenue for views/clicks. Maybe this is how this one works and we aren’t actually supporting Iams nor WM unless we actually go out and purchase their food/shop at their stores. Perhaps ICHC is just taking their money so we can has this cute game. What do you think?

    • mediawhit says:

Not sure. But not worth the risk!

    • wox says:

Whatever helps you sleep at night. But you’re wrong. Please don’t play or support this.

    • no lapproev test on animaux says:

i come here because i reckon everyone who posts shares my ethics on animals etc.

i’m pobably being naiive here and imposing my worldview or something.

i’ve never posted here before either and i’m annoyed with myself for doing it when it’s for negative reasons.
i really do love to come here and read posts as it actually reaffirms my faith in human nature, not meaning to overstate the influence the site has on my life or anyrthing.

i did, incidentally, have a go at the game but found it a bit frustrating, so i’m not really against the game in any way just the two sponsors.

      wal-mart own asda over here.

  18. Cheri says:

Iams does nasty testing on animals, please don’t support this. There are plenty of other hilarious things on the interwebs!

  19. ayche says:

“Iams tests its products on animals”….uh…but….Iams makes products FOR animals. It’s not like putting eyeshadow on rabbits to see if it causes cancer, or poking rats full of chemicals to see what happens. Would you rather Iams tested their animal products on humans? I am NOT condoning using animals as test subjects for shampoo or medications, etc. But testing animal products on animals seems…to make sense?
Also, ICHC provides many lolz free of charge…they, like everyone else, have to pay the bills. I, for one, don’t have the income to be able to send them a check. But I *can* click on a silly little game and provide them with some sort of revenue, still free of charge to me.
    Maybe it’s not selling out…maybe it’s staying afloat…

    • mediawhit says:

Do you think it’s necessary to cut chunks of muscle from dogs thighs? To sever their vocal cords? To stick tubes down dogs’ throats to force them to ingest vegetable oil? To let dogs and cats go stir-crazy from confinement? Or to put them in windowless, dungeon-like buildings? That is happening everyday in Iams laboratories.

  20. spork says:

Sorry, folks. Can’t get behind either sponsor :( FAIL

  21. spork says:

…and yes, I’ve donated to and bought items from ICHC and bought products from sponsors……

  22. US2BYoung says:

NomNomNom4Fud is adorable! Thx for sharing!

  23. Belle says:

Sponsored by Walmart? I can has nothing to do with this.

  24. belllie says:

    server error

  25. Karen Anne says:

Submit score has failed two times in a row.

  26. julie says:

    Like! We can haz iPhone app plz? ;-}

  27. Default_UserID says:

Walmart put my Father’s hardware store out of business and then ruined our community with higher taxes for road improvements they wouldn’t help pay for. Then they left an empty shell at our shopping mall when they pulled out because profits were slightly higher 10 miles down the road. If ICHC is now in business with Walmart and Iams, I’m out of here. Funny Kittehs are one thing, but supporting crooks like Walmart is unforgivable!

  28. JamDeeDer says:

The game does not appear to promote animal cruelty… it is cute, and fun!

  29. meow says:

Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom :D :D :D

  30. patricia says:

    IAMS kills animals in research.

  31. Mew says:

This game is fun. You can play it without having to support either company!

    • mediawhit says:

Trust me… they track how many views/plays this game gets and they get their chunk of change.

      • msifreakster says:

what chunk of change? we dont pay anything to play it and how can they charge ICHC for X# of clicks when its advertising on ICHC? I DO NOT like WM, I avoid the 2 that are within 2 miles of me at all costs. In fact I beleive that ICHC can do MUCH better. this is just a cute game that is fun to play with ads. You can just not buy the products to not support WM or Iams.

      • mehbee teh Cheez’s cud tellz us if dis be a munnies per clicki ‘ranjmint? Hellllooooo ICHC!! Nebuddi hoam?

  32. Jen says:

IAMS supports abhorrent animal testing. Please don’t buy IAMS if you care about animals.

    http://www.iamscruelty.com/

    • what says:

Would you feed your pet something that had not been verified to be safe? Animal testing is done in a controlled environment to ensure the health and safety of YOUR pet at home. Have you never taken a tylenol? Or gotten a vaccination for yourself or your children? Or gone to the doctor? Or taken your pet to the vet? All of those things require animal testing. I dated someone who did testing for a major pharmaceutical company, and the people who worked there loved the dogs they worked with. After the research stint was up the dogs would be adopted out, usually to staff members. And BTW, if you eat eggs or meat you’re paying people to raise animals in worse conditions than lab animals and then kill them, so you can add that to the list of your hypocrisies.

      • peanutpie says:

it’s very very seldom that lab animals are *ever* adopted out, by the way. most often they simply get put down.

    • Bev says:

I work at Iams. I love pets. I wouldn’t work at Iams if this video were representative of our policies or practices.

This video was filmed more than 5 years ago at a facility we didn’t own. But when we found out about the blatant violations of our established animal welfare policies, we immediately ended our relationship with that company, and our employees adopted the dogs.

Since that time, we’ve moved all our feeding studies into pet owner’s homes or our own state of the art Pet Health and Nutrition Center. We’ve invested millions of dollars to build our facility, which is staffed with veterinarians and nutritionists. It is a cageless environment and a virtual “pet haven,” specifically designed for the comfort and protection of dogs and cats. You can see it for yourself at http://www.IamsTruth.com.

  33. anne says:

OK first of all playing the game does not give anything to Iams or Walmart. In fact it helps ICHC get more money from them. Go ICHC!

Second of all, I can has help page? I’m not quite sure why my game ended or what the different things I eat do… Fun game though!!!

  34. gewitterwind says:

    Awwwwwww so cute!
Personally I donÄt mind whoever the sponsor is. The game’s fun, that’s all.

  35. luvscritters says:

Gud greef itz a silly GAYME!!!!

All yu guyz complaining bout teh whole IAMS thing need tew lighten up.. It’s just a lil game. Not a major sponsoring partnership. Sheesh. Pwease calm down! And ai agree wif ‘ayche’. kthxbai :)

  38. Alex Swanson says:

I am no longer going to visit this site because of the fact that it has become just a sad, money-scheme. Oh boy, sponsored by Walmart and IAMs. My 2 favorite (extreme sarcasm) companies. Just because we talk in lolspeak sometimes doesn’t mean we are stupid. Way to undermine your viewer base ICHC.

    • D.R. says:

“I am no longer going to visit this site because of the fact that it has become just a sad, money-scheme.”

Is the stick up there tightly enough?

      • msifreakster says:

Agreed, just grow up and move on. So they got money FROM someone you dont like and they didnt get anything in return right?!! ICHC is still a great site and hasnt lost any of their morals. Just trying to pay bills like everyone!

        • peanutpie says:

ICHC taking money from companies with dubious morals *doesn’t* make them any less moral?

i’m a student, what if my studies were sponsored by the Monsanto company? or KFC? what would that say about my morals??

      • kitkay says:

        happeh B-layed burfday, DR!
ai hoap Keisha gits well, and wiff a kwikniss!

  39. jmuhj says:

FUN GAME but ai nevur set fut in walmart an ai nevur wil, ai hoap.

  40. D.R. says:

What’s with the spew of political bots? You’re suddenly very interested in ICHC because of this one game? Yet you never complain about the other ads here. Your comments also suspiciously sound all alike. Of course IAMS has pets eat their food. They make pet food. What do you expect?

This is about a video game, which is not real. Quit spamming. Oh, you might just save little cartoon characters on a screen.

    • Dee says:

If you actually took a look at the links above, and carefully read people’s responses you’d realize that we’re not upset because IAMS tests their food on animals. Of course they do, the issue is the extremely inhumane way in which they treat their animals. Check out some of the videos on the sites linked, maybe, before you form an opinion?
As for Walmart, there’s nothing as explicitly terrible there but a lot of people disagree with the way their business is run, and for some very good reasons.

I visit ICHC every day and have for a long time, so it’s not a sudden interest. I haven’t complained about any other ads because to be honest I haven’t really noticed others (NoScript, perhaps?) and even if I did I’d know they’re probably run by an ad company, not created by a deal between ICHC and the advertiser.
I think it’s good for people to let ICHC know what they think about their sponsorship choices and why, especially as it may have a really negative impact for ICHC.

  41. Dee says:

If you play it to support ICHC, why not buy their merchandise instead?

I’ve bought ICHC merchandise before, but I will not play this game. Walmart and Iams are crooks, plain and simple. The effects of large corporations on society and the environment have been terrible. Especially ones that aren’t trying to do any actual good, like these two. They’re in it for the money, and that’s all. Support local, smaller companies where you can.

Regardless of if they get money from this particular game or not, they get advertising out of it. I’m expressing my distaste for these companies, because if enough people do (especially in the comments for something they’re trying to use as an ad), that turns in to bad publicity. There is such a thing, because as word spreads about these companies more people will decide not to support them.

And don’t think they aren’t tracking the statistics of the game… If you know anything about sales and marketing in companies you should know that they’ll be interested to see how popular the game is. And the more people playing it, the more they’ll think of flash games as a good place for their ads. Then they put ads in other games, and reach larger audiences. Don’t support it!

    • spork says:

Exacty what I said, Dee. I’ve supported other businesses, ICHC needs to make a monies..I lurvs the retro dresses from modcloth! and I even contributed when ICHC was just a kitteh. If you don’t like the sponsor, simply don’t play. … and click a 1 cheezburger vote, too.

  42. deanna says:

Oh for crying out loud. If you don’t like Iams, don’t buy Iams. If you don’t like Walmart, don’t shop there, and shut up about it. Simple as that. It’s just a cute little silly game, not a political statement.

  43. Alex Swanson says:

Well, I never complained about the other ads because they were easy to ignore. But this is in your face. I honestly couldn’t care less what you think, because you don’t seem very educated on the topic. The animals aren’t just forced to eat the food, they are killed and dissected and tortured in other unspeakable ways. I just don’t think IAMS is an appropriate sponsor for this website, and I hate walmart just as much.

  44. peanutpie says:

“IAMS has pets eat their food” how extremely ignorant! please look up the types of experiments going on at IAMS (and pretty sure not just IAMS really…)

ICHC, you’ve sunk so low. i think i’ll take a break from kittehs for a while. i’m disappointed.

  45. peanutpie says:

and i’m happy other ICHCers are equally aware about both IAMS and WalMart (and their likes).

  46. peanüt says:

well, i lol’d. 5 stars for this game

  47. graspee says:

If ICHC has any sense they will remove this post and all links to the game and deny it ever happened.

Even without anything else, the blatant and sad product placement of IAMS in the game- it’s pitiful, it really is. Bury it.

  48. ShadowCat7 says:

I are using Game maker 7 to make a game where happycat defeats teh basement cats! I has finished makin world 3!

  49. nomnomnom says:

This game is amazing!!! I’m totally addicted. nom nom nom nom, LOL.

  50. Cher says:

    NOMILICIOUS! what a cute game!

  51. Lauren says:

LOL@ the wank in here. IT’S JUST A GAME. GET OVER IT

  52. Picti says:

IAMS kill cats! Don’t get me started on Wal-Mart! IAMS kill cats!

  53. TommyNom says:

Sorry ICHC, I’ll buy your branded goods and awesome kitteh books, but I won’t support a pet food company that thinks by-products, by-product meals, corn and other fillers are “healthy” ingredients.

I still love ICHC though. :3

  54. AJ says:

I won’t be playing this for 2 reasons:

    Iams cruelty

Wal-mart’s disgusting wacko political right wing agenda.

  55. PJ says:

    Epic fail.

  56. smuff says:

    OI!

Ok, i read the first 15 arguments against IAMS and the dreaded WALMART. I skipped ahead to comment.

Yeah, Iams is, to put it bluntly, crap food. it’s better than some, but not much.

Do your research. There is nothing better you can do for your pet. Know what it needs, and cater to that.

Frankly, as a pet shop clerk, I find it extremely frustrating when people come in to my shop and ask me “why shouldn’t my pets eat Iams? Science Diet? Whiskas?”

If you don’t know the answers to these sorts of questions, why own a pet?

If you are trusting advertising, or, simply, you vet, ask freaking questions!

Here’s a major hint as to why I think these food are bad…

How well does an animal that is a pure carnivore live off of corn?

    I welcome the answer.

    • IRK says:

      here, here.

the majority of your better foods won’t advertise on tv. well since you’re a pet store clerk its your job to inform people of what their pet would live best on. different foods have different benefits. but to be fair i would never feed wet as its pretty much 80% ‘moisture’ and as for corn, rice etc. its providing the nutrients the dogs/cats need to survive.

Besides, dogs can actually be vegitarian (wouldn’t make them though but this would please peta, yeah.) but cats need the protein Taurine to survive.

since you work in a pet shop, you’d know this.

Also I like the game, i don’t like iams, and since i don’t like iams i wont buy a bag, but iams will pay ICHC for advertising, and they need money to pay for running costs. so therefore playing the game is fine, just don’t buy iams if you don’t agree with their policies.

      • momto6 says:

I used to feed my cats only dry cat food, but when the paw pads on one of them started to crack, the vet said I should try adding canned food. So now I split 2 small cans between 6 cats for dinner. Within 2 weeks my boy’s paw pads were again smooth and healthy, and all of the cats are happier.
I disagree with your claim that canned food is 80% mosture. An accidental experiment (LOL) proves otherwise. An open can of cat food was left in the refrigerator for about a week. When I found it, it was a hard, dry clump. It had shrunk, of course, but not down to 20%.

        • IRK says:

          %80 moisture, isn’t just water.

Besides, its a personal thing, the majority of cans you’ll find are between 72% and 82% save a select few – Natures Menu(comes in a pouch) is pretty much 70% meat.

AND pretty much all your prescription foods come as wet.

My cat gets his daily allowance of dried as well as a tin of Applaws(a food where you can actually see what is in it, such as tuna prawns etc)

I would however always do whats best for the cat, and if that means wet then so be it! he comes first.

  57. no lapproev test on animaux says:

there seem to be a lot of arguments about how this is just an ad and we can ignore the content to play the game.
well i agree to an extent that you can watch tv and be entertained and pay no attention to ads, but they are always there.
i don’t have a tv anymore and think that i can pick and choose, when i’m online, sites that don’t bombard me with ads, this just shows how pervasive it is.

(dn gt me started on iggy pop)

  58. Koth says:

This is a really fun game! Finally got the Epic Win!

    Wal-Mart is a fantastic store.

  59. luvscritters says:

My cats eat EVO. No grains at all, no fillers . . . and it’s $36 for a 16 pound bag.

Most people can’t afford that. (I use it because I have a diabetic cat) Most people have to feed ordinary pet food that has corn in it.

    It’s not evil. It’s affordable.

If we left them to their own devices they would eat mice and birds. Maybe you should lobby a pet food maker to make food out of mice and sparrows.

If you don’t like IAMS for whatever reason, don’t buy them. If you think they are doing something illegal or immoral, what are you doing about it? Have you written to IAMS and asked them to stop? Have you complained to Congress to regulate the treatment of pet food test animals? If you’re not being proactive about what you see as a problem, shut up about it.

I object to Walmart’s grocery policies. I make my stand by not buying groceries at Walmart. If enough people felt the way I did, Walmart would get out of the grocery business. In this country, people are free to support or not support anything they want.

If you now hate ICHC, go away. Don’t hang around here souring the site for others.

    It’s a fun silly game.

  60. Geneva says:

Before you ream out this site for “shilling” for Iams, you might want to take a real close look at who YOU are shilling for.

You are promoting a website written to defame a pet food manufacturer on the basis of an incident that happened 7-8 years ago in a facility not even owned by the company being defamed.

Better yet, not only has the site not been updated in 6 years, it was written by a group that last year alone killed 95% of the adoptable pets brought in to their “shelter” by well meaning if uninformed people.

And unlike PETA’s allegations against IAMS — that accusation isn’t based on heresy, it’s based on their own records they themselves filed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture.

All of you who support PETA really need to look very carefully at the group you are supporting… look at the causes they support, the bills they attempt to get passed, and what they do with your money. It doesn’t take a MENSA member to spot their ultimate goal — no more companion animals, ever.

    • Alex Swanson says:

I see how you’re accusing PeTA of propaganda, and, even as a member, I agree with you. We use propaganda. But almost every bit of your statement was propaganda as well, so don’t be a hypocrite.

      • IRK says:

They also suggest everyone should be Vegan, is that not against our natural instincts?

surely its a question of choice.

        • Alex Swanson says:

Yes, it is a choice. And you can choose to make the compassionate choice. As humans, the more evolved and intelligent animals, we have the gift of compassion. And we can use that gift to help others, including animals who can’t stand up for themselves. We don’t need to eat meat. In fact, vegetarians live consistently longer than meat eaters. I’m not saying that everyone should go vegan, (even I’m not a vegan!) I just think that we can stop eating meat and get rid of animal cruelty.

          • momto6 says:

I thought you were leaving yesterday. You’re still here.

            • Alex Swanson says:

You’re right, I am still here. And I will continue to be here until the game is removed OR I get tired of complaining. Whichever comes first. jk

              • IRK says:

so if an animal kills us, does that make it human cruelty? oh i hope one of them will stand up and protect us!

its called the circle of life.

                • peanutpie says:

circle of life, yes? is it the “circle of life” to treat animals like non-sentient objects that have no needs or that can’t feel pain, like the chickens some of you so proudly buy at Walmart??
it’s not the circle of life, we’ve distorted what *used* to be a natural predator-prey relationship between us and these animals to such extent that we’re rapidly destroying the environment (20% of *all* greenhouse gases come from the production animal industry, particularly cattle) and we’re torturing animals in intensive farms. all just for cheaper and cheaper products and because humans absolutely *neeeed* to eat meat.

you call that natural? i won’t stop being a vegan until the farming industry becomes sustainable and humane. that’s when things will be back to normal. (which is probably never).

big sigh. it all started from a silly game…

  61. yaxle says:

If IAMS and Walmart are completely irrelevant to the game, and stand no chance of influencing anyone, why would their names be all over it? It’s advertising, and it works quite well on the ignorant. So, you may be able to see past it and enjoy the game, but I tend to want to save the morons from themselves when possible.
I don’t know if IAMS has really changed their practices. It’s easy to make a website about one ideal facility, and give no real data on the rest of the facilities. But the fact that their food is nutritionally unsound, and their advertising lies about this, is enough for me.

“…I tend to want to save the morons from themselves when possible.”

Care to explain what you mean by that?

Well, since I’m not in the US, I don’t have anything to do with any of the brands here. The game was fun non the less.

  63. Bob Sinclair says:

Having read both sides (the PETA site and the Iams response at http://www.iamstruth.com), what is apparent is that Iams either made significant changes to either their policies or their partners since 2003.

On the other hand the PETA site keeps trotting out the same story, implying that cruelty must still be happening even though they concede that Iams made significant changes.

Seems like beating a dead horse to me (yes, intentional animal-based metaphor to inflame the PETA peeps)…

  64. GandWuser says:

I don’t care about the IAMS ads (I have never heard of the cruelty, and cats eat cat food) but I friggin hate Wal-Mart! Why have them sponsor it? Oh well. Fun game.

  65. Ray Kremer says:

I guess the WalMart hate is alive and well out there on the internets. The PETA crowd doesn’t impress me either. Save it for Pundit Kitchen, maybe?

the point is that ichc is all about love and friendship with our furry frens

walmart and iams are not really frens with furry things and the game is not so awsome cos it wnt save scores.

please instead of (just because they are huge multinational corps and can get customers easily) the walmart and iams ads could we have loads of animal charities instead i wd personally be willing to donate cash to them + u thru ur site if u did.

have some kind of partnership with them?
it may not be viable, i don’t know.

i still don’t get posts from u tho until the game goes away as i don’t trust either company but ur site used to brighten my day every day,

also many animal charities dnt gt the exposure they need.

    bring back the love…
    cheersxx
    p.s i miss u
