But I don’t know anyone who has to deal with that situation, as well as having a very painful and difficult illness themselves, so it is completely understandable if you feel it is too much for you sometimes. But don’t go away from here! It is when things are the worst that we need a little distraction and a few chuckles at the silly antics of cats and cheezpeeps. There is nothing in what you said that you were not supposed to say! And all it takes to fit in here is an appreciation for cats and a sense of humour (even if it is kind of warped like mine), and if you need to vent, this is a perfect place to do it. I haven’t been here that long myself, but I do know that there are others that have found that expressing their frustrations here has helped them get through the day and the difficulties that they were facing. And if someone isn’t interested, well, all they have to do is scroll down the page, and others who do care will let you know that you aren’t alone.

You sound like an amazing person, just from the little you have said here – going back to get an MA, being responsible enough to take care of your mom in spite of the difficulties of her disease and mental condition and the lack of help from your siblings on top of dealing with your own disease and all of the other “crap” that people thought you should just “get over”. Something that ordinarily a person could get over more easily becomes a lot more difficult to get over when it is piled on top of a lot of other things – a rock on a plain is a lot easier to get over than that same rock on top of Mt Everest!

No-one is so strong that they can endure everything in life without needing to talk about it to someone sometime. I tend to try to keep things locked inside me too, even though I know that no-one would judge me if I occasionally told someone that I was having difficulties. But that is a hard habit to break, but when I have, I was amazed to find that there are some true friends who become even closer and love you even more when they find out that you aren’t invincible.

So, hang in there, and here. Vent if you need to, cry if you need to, laugh if you can. There will always be some cheezpeeps who will be glad to listen and send a virtual hug from somewhere in the world to whereever you are.
