Hey there! Yep — they finally sent my baby home — almost three weeks in the hospital – I thinkhe was ready to climb out of the window. Too bad my baby is 6 fett 4 inches and 220 pounds or I would have tucked him in my bag and smuggled him out with me!
But seriously, it was time, he was losing heart being in the hopsital so long especially since they just did not know why he was running the fever. But, the fever is gone (he had a single spike on Thursday last week – he would have gone home on Friday except for that!), he was able to do without supplemental oxygen (again – they had no idea why he needed it to begin with) and his white count went up to 0.5 (woo hoo — should be 1000 x more)
He is only on IV Nupagin to help support the bone marrow. Matt is quite frustrated with the whole thing – he was hoping to be back at school at least part time by now. So – he is still plugging alone, trying to survive the chemo. Al least the chemo is done and he is in remission.

Hooray for Elsa_Mama and her 220-pownd, 6-feet-4-inch behebeh being allowed to coeming home! I noes teh feeling – when I went to git mah huzbing frum teh horspital after just abowt a week in teh horspital in Oktober, he had teh similar feline. Wuz losing hart and “just wantid to coem home”; he wuz so depresst. Soon as Dr. TinyCat sed he culd go, I flew on wings lite wit joi and brot heem hoem at tawp speed! Wuz a reskyew, Ifinkso!

Yes — he had AML. He was diagnosed Septmenr 23, 2008. He is done with chemo and was in remission after the first round. His WBC is coming up, so we are keeping our fingers crossed!
