I needz a happee … i bee sittin in my sn’s hospitall room. He hads leukemia (AML) — he finished with his chemo, but now he has fever since he has no white blood cells. Actually his bone marrow is not working very well at all yet … he has been here since last Tuesday — 102 – 103 F fever. he has had all the drugs in the pharmacy and more blood and platelets than I want to think about!! but he is getting “better” — fever goes down now for a few minutes before going back up … and he drank 2 Burger King icy drinks today– only thing except for water and Sprite since last Monday … Matt is 14 and very strong, but maybe all you peeps could send him some happity and healthy thoughts and prayers. Every one helps!

No, just pray and pray. His bone marrow will come back – it is just takin a little longer than then hoped. the leukemia is gone — now he just has to survive the “cure.” But – he is very strong both body and mind .. my baby is 6 feet 4 inches and 220 pounds … after 6 months of chemo — He wrestled for 3 years and he is now a basketball player — the big guy under the basket that can guard anyone and has a mean turn around jumper, with a little fade … But he had to sit this season out. Next year — freshman coach is holding a spot for him — he has seen him play!
