deffinittly hurted him. Hims a great big kitteh and i tink he wuz climbin it an sumhow slipt & got wejed tween teh tew trunks. He was pinned around his hip bonz and had worn all hiz pointy ends completely off tryin to free himself, possilby fer az long az 4 hours, judging by how long I wuz gon from home. I cried fer daze at teh very thot! Now I DO NOT leev teh haous widdout he is INSIDE!! (Oh an I payed a naybor wif a chainsaw to remove one o doze tew trunks so it woodent happin again.)(there R sevral mor trunks, jess not dat close togedder.)

At least a cuppla! Firs i coodnt find him, and almost decided he’d turn up inna mornin, but I jess had a sick feelin ’bout it, so i tossed Mewsers outside an said, “Go find Nico!” An I had walkt past that tree 2 or 3 times w/o seeing him (he’s a basement cat an it twas dark out), until i realized that Mewswers wuz bird-doggin on sumpin, an it turnd out to be Nico, hangin upside down wedged tween 2 crape myrtle trunks an almost lifeless. Poor baby. His vet gave me no hope for him, an it gives me teh shivers thinkin how strongly she was thinkin we wud haf to euthanize him. When I brot him home a week later (on Halloween), he coodn’t walk; I set him on teh kitchn floor an he wuz awl splayed out. “No quality of life,” dey sed. But heer he is, an he runs an jumps and tippy toes down teh edge o teh bathtub like no big deal. Hims vet wuz dumfounded! (I have hiz pkture on my profile page but I dassn’t kno how to link it.) He iz curled up in mi lef arm rite now, so I’m havin to type 1-handed. *smile*

Wen i hadz to go see mi Nico at teh vet’s, he were in vewy bad shape aster gittin chewed up wif a crape myrtle tree, had only tew gud legses under him & wuz on ivys an all dat stuf. Wen I opend hiz cell door, he cralld out in2 mi armses and PURRRRRRed and *hed bonkd* me gud!!! The vet asst. wuz teery-I’d and sed, “He LOVES you!” an ai sed, (trew mi own teers), “I wuvs him tew!!!” 2 weeks later, he wuz bak on oll 4s and runnin the haous. I wish yews cooda seen teh look on hiz vet’s fayce wen I took him bak 4 hiz last re-check. (We callz him “Nico teh Meericle Kat” now.)
