Hi tessm! Good to see you again too. I saw your comment about taking yur kitteh to the vet to get checked. Glad to hear that he is still doing OK 2 years after kidney problem diagnosis. My guy was not so lucky. He was diagnosed at the end of October, but even with the sub-q fluids, special diet, syringe feeding, etc he just kept getting skinnier and skinnier and weaker. Finally I had to take him to the bridge on Dec 29th. He was so weak that he had to lie down to use the litter box, and I could tell that he was not a happy kitteh any more. It was very hard to do, but I just couldn’t see him suffer any more, so I had to say goodbye. Anyway, thanks again for your advice on internet resources. By the say, if you are giving your kitteh sub-q fluids, I found that the pharmacy in our local hospital sells exactly the same fluids, for about 1/10th of the price that the vet or other pharmacies sold it. ($1.80 per bag, instead of $15 at the vet). But I still have his brother and another rescue kitteh, so I still get purrs and shed furs! And lots of good memories…
