You can say that again. I just feel kinda annoyed that even after sending an e-mail they didn’t remove it. I mean, I’m not asking to take it out because I don’t like the author, or because I have nothing better to do. I’m asking it to be removed because it’s an animal in pain. It’s not amusing. It’s not fun. Didn’t your parents teach you not to make fun of this kind of situations? My parents certainly did.

This kitteh has been severely abused: bobbed tail, scabbing on forehead and nose, swollen crusted over eyes, bobbed ears. This is not funneh, only sad. Hope kitteh is doing better these days.

It is in a very bad way – the lesion on its forehead indicates that the cancer has spread through its blood. Perhaps after its ears were amputated, the owners still let it go out in the sun or the amputation was done too late

Hi.
This cat has very serious, advanced and painful skin cancer caused by overexposure to the sun. It’s a form of carcinoma, like people can get, and also die painfully from if left untreated. It is very common in white cats who live outdoors. It starts with sunburned ears and noses, small lesions being to show, then the cancer spreads through the brain and body very quickly. A very unpleasant and slow death… hopefully this cat has been mercifully euthanized by now. He’s in a very bad way – see the big lesion on his forehead.

Although it is very upsetting and disturbing, I feel this picture and these comments should stay to spread awareness in this kitty loving community. Cats with white noses and ears must be kept inside and even tinting the windows that they sit in can be necessary. Any spots or sores, even tiny ones, need to be checked by a vert ASAP. My kitty had her ears half amputated, but she survived.

Yes, you’re right it was OTT. The ignorance of this very common problem makes me very upset. Seeing people going LOL when it should be common knowledge is very disturbing. I don’t think admin should remove it now – hopefully more people will read my comments and learn.

I am very sad for your kitty, MJ, Luckily mine was saved but I see cats in the street like this all the time in Australia and it is heartbreaking that their owners don’t keep them inside, out of the sun. It’s amazing that so few people know about this serious danger for cats with white ears and noses. Shocking that a vet didn’t pick it! It just starts out as a little sore…. so insidious.

I too thought this kitty had its ears folded back and was back from a kitty fight but apparently this kitty has had skin cancer and gotten its ears chopped to prevent it from spreading… judging from the spot on his face and eyes… i take it, it actually spread up..
