Anyway, here’s what I’ve been thinking.
When you’re unhappy, you go around to places on the internet and find places that annoy/stimulate you negatively. (editorial you) You engage in catfights and one-upmanship and other nasty behavior that stir your emotions. Maybe your personal life sucks, and since you aren’t getting enough love/happies/satisfaction, a little negative emotion is better than the doldrums.
I have a solution.
Start doing super nice stuff for people. Go around depositing good deeds everywhere you go. Make it a habit. Make it your business.
Soon you will become addicted to it.
And you will find something amazing. The addiction to this kind of behavior is different than the addiction to the nastiness. It is more fullfilling and pleasant, and it doesn’t have that ick feeling. You can never get enough, but it’s a good thing. And it doesn’t leave you feeling sick, like a hangover or junkfood overload.
Try it.
And one more thing. No matter how many times you come on here and behave like an ass, someone is going to care about you.
Someday you will realize that doesn’t make us losers.

Hims need loving home, NEUTERING, then kept indoors for several months. My neutered little battle-tuffie needed about 5 months. Inside of the first week he didn’t WANT to go out.
But then — he hasn’t learned to share any of 3 big catboxes with my 2 previous kittles.
I had to put him out again. He hates it. Wants to get in whenever possible — and when it sems wise, I let him, for at least a while.
In the last 3 days, it’s been so cold (this is Florida, not The North) he’s been indoors. Still no, or almost no, use of catboxes — Mommie is trying some make-do stuff.

hmm, box-training – most of my kittehs haz either alreddy been trained wen i got tehm, or trained themselves, or never used a box just went owtside. wen i’ve had to do a little training or reminding, i would just put teh kitteh in the box sometimes an show him how to dig arownd wif himz pawz. tehy wuld usually get the idea pretty quikly. gud luk an bless yoo for giving dis liddle tuff-guy a luving home!

Thank you, Lunarmommy! My little Lonely Heart seems to be a stubborn case. Have tried picking him up, putting him in box, showing him how to paw & scratch in box. This HAS worked well & quickly for previous kittehs. I pick this one up, bring him close to the family catbox, and he struggles & protests. I put him in anyway & TRY to show a paw how to scratch, & the yowling increases & he is pretty much out of there — at least, it is clear that we have lost the opportunity for a teaching moment.
His own box? I could try a completely new box in a closer-to-acceptable location — IF I could keep the other 2 out of it first.
He does use fairly consistent wrong locations, though. One is close to the other kittehs’ box! He seems to have satisfied himself that he no longer needs to pee in every room of the house. I think I’ve defeated the markings he left at first, but I don’t think he or my other two think they’re gone. But if he’s stopped most of that, good. Yesterday, his 3rd straight day inside in months, I found no misplaced “usages” — emphasis on “I found.”

This poor neglected kitty is dying of SKIN cancer.
It is probably is a LOT of PAIN. Its ears have rotted away from the cancer and the cancer has spread through the cat’s body, but it is still outside in the SUN and not being treated… so it is DYING very SLOWLY and PAINFULLY!
I recognise this because it is a very common problem with white cats in Australia. People in Australia also get a lot of skin cancer. It’s caused by the SUN.

I KNOW how much PAIN this cat is in. MY OWN WHITE CAT had to have her ears amputated last year and we have to keep her out of the sun now… she can’t even sit in the window.
My white cat died of skin cancer that spread to her lymph. Our vet was an idiot and didnt recognize the sore on her ear that wouldnt heal as being cancer.
I am very sad for your kitty, MJ, Luckily mine was saved but I see cats in the street like this all the time in Australia and it is heartbreaking that their owners don’t keep them inside, out of the sun. At first I just thought the cat was a bit angry and had his ears backwards, I usually don’t analyse LOL’s, but now I figured out this cat actually has no ears. Just say it to an admin.
Yes, you’re right it was OTT. The ignorance of this very common problem makes me very upset. Seeing people going LOL when it should be common knowledge is very disturbing. I don’t think admin should remove it now – hopefully more people will read my comments and learn.

Hello. After looking at this cat I felt I needed to leave a comment.
Can anyone please say what is known about him? I tried looking at those posts but lolspeak is not really my thing. Because that fella does not really seem to be doing great. Maybe he just got into a fight or maybe he really is very, very sick. So, maybe it would be better to just remove this image if enough people agree with that.
I understand that whoever posted it didn’t mean to be unpleasant or anything, but I guess many people here aren’t comfortable looking at it.

I too thought this kitty had its ears folded back and was back from a kitty fight but apparently this kitty has had skin cancer and gotten its ears chopped to prevent it from spreading… judging from the spot on his face and eyes… i take it, it actually spread up..

Hi.
This cat has very serious, advanced and painful skin cancer caused by overexposure to the sun. It’s a form of carcinoma, like people can get, and also die painfully from if left untreated. It is very common in white cats who live outdoors. It starts with sunburned ears and noses, small lesions being to show, then the cancer spreads through the brain and body very quickly. A very unpleasant and slow death… hopefully this cat has been mercifully euthanized by now. He’s in a very bad way – see the big lesion on his forehead.
Although it is very upsetting and disturbing, I feel this picture and these comments should stay to spread awareness in this kitty loving community. Cats with white noses and ears must be kept inside and even tinting the windows that they sit in can be necessary. Any spots or sores, even tiny ones, need to be checked by a vert ASAP. My kitty had her ears half amputated, but she survived.

It is in a very bad way – the lesion on its forehead indicates that the cancer has spread through its blood. Perhaps after its ears were amputated, the owners still let it go out in the sun or the amputation was done too late
… and also by the look of the gammy red eyes and spotty nose, that kitty has a whole head full of out of control cancer. Sun no good for white kitties

Actualy, how are you supposed to know this sort of things about white cat skin cancer… you cannot judge too harshly, theres nobody that would have known about the desease who could have made a LOL out of it…

It’s great to read the comments of so meny compassionate people here. Some time ago, there was a photo of an obviously dead cat in the Cat Photo Gallery. I wrote to the site several times asking them to remove the photo (at least 1 LOL had been made from it), and it took a while before it finally disappeared. Some people would post any photo, no matter how sad or inappropriate it is.
