Kinda funny story:
When I leaved my condo yesterday, I was closing my door and just starting down teh stairs and heared a man’s voice say something like “No! No begging!” in a harsh tone and I thinked, “hmmm, I didna know that naybors had a dawg. Then as I walked to teh car I realized that the man’s voice didnot sound like the boy naybor (it’s a engaged couple libbing there, vry nice peeps.) I visualized a home-invasion-type scenario as I walked to my car. I looked up at their winders and didn’t see anything amiss but I made a mental note to call teh condo office when I getted to work to have them do a walk-by just to check. Our property is on a long lot and the parking lot in back is one-way, so I hadda drive waaaaaaaaay around to get to teh road which runs parallel to teh parking lot When I passed by our bilding on teh road, I looked as sawr a man on their terrace who didnot look like either of them and DID look like a home-invader type. I almost runned into a parked car, I was so shocked.
I was running late for a vry portant meeting so I didn’t pull over to call teh polices or teh condo office from my cell phone and I wasn’t even sure who to call anyway, but my work is not too far away and as soon as I getted there I called first teh condo office, no answer, then my girl naybor’s cell phone. I axed her if she was teh ok and described what I had heared and sawr. She was at work but she axed, “Was teh man u saw kinda shabby and homeless-looking?” Um, yeah. “O, that’s my fiawnsay’s dad! He be visiting us this week!” She called home anyway and found out that everything was well. Whew.
So all was teh okie and teh dokie after all. I felt stoopy a little, but that is better than feeling bad if it HAD been a bad sitchuation.
Then last night I had dinner wif teh boyfrent and telled him teh story. He axed me how come if I was a catburgular why I didn’t recognize who else was and was not one. Silly boyfrent. Then when he dropped me off at home and I was walking down teh sidewalk to my bilding, 3 peeps came up behind me. My naybors and their houseguest, also coming home from dinners! They all thanked me for looking out for them, but I feeled VRY awkward meeting teh daddeh, who I thinked earlier had been a bad guy!
