The offering of more pop-culture pap displeases me in the extreme. Cheezburger spinoffs jumped long ago. Celebrity look-alikes? Failpics? Engrish? Graphs of, well, nothing really? All on another faux-friendship site? These have nothing to do with the I Can Has Cheezburger? lolcat premise of the site. DO NOT WANT!!1!
Pet Holdings should have stuck with captioning teh critters. They are overreaching, and it shows. The site is disorganized and a mess to navigate. And is there anyone who hasn’t had been having problems with the voting system for months now? They need to get their technical and organizational acts together before continuing this ridiculous frenzy of trying to create the hottest new nothing. How about diverting some of that marketing and promotional effort into creating a smooth running site?
Now they are offering up pre-packaged nostalgia. I’ve been posting here for over a year now, and *my* feelings of nostalgia involve a fun site that provided posters the opportunity, pictures, and tools to make one-panel cartoons without the need for graphics skills and software. The Advanced Builder is the only WIN the site has seen since it went online.
Send the trashy celebrities back to Perez Hilton, the pre-fab nostalgia back to VH-1, and the totally-looks-like back to Sesame Street. Leave the insta-cyber-friending to MySpace and the graphs in the office. Bring us more kittehs and goggies and bearses and politicians for them to eat.
And somebody, anybody, fix the –ing voting system!

I really hate this one. I don’t know what it is doing here, but it has a really wonky script which totally f+*@#ed up my home computer. And my work computer (where I am writing from now) doesn’t like it either. I agree with the person who wrote that there is enough pop culture poop without getting into this. Would this script be responsible for the disappearance of my reply to Joe above in which I listed a link to a DIY demotivational poster site? I left it twice and it disappeared both times. Did the script drop the post or did the burgerz kick it? I ask because some sites aren’t loading correctly onto my ‘puter and uploads (such as posts) don’t want to stick to the page. I’m trying to rule out some variables. I’ve tried several different browsers and that doesn’t seem to make any difference.
