In all the years I worked as a vet tech I never saw or heard of this.
I was at a friend’s house earlier, who has 2 cats one only 2, the other about 9 or 10.
On their scratching post at the base of it was little kitteh claws. Not whole ones, like it’s entire claw got pulled out, but alomst like they “shedded” layers.
Has anyone else expierienced this? I’ve owned, nursed and fostered many a cat and never saw so many little nails from 2 cats.
Any ideas my cheezfrens?

I knew cats shed nails but we are talkin about many many nails and she is a pretty clean person, so it’s not like they accumulated over time. My tootsie used to shed whiskers. I honestly thought about making something out of them, like a potholder.
