by the way, Nothing in the WORLD would make me happier than to be able to send holiday cards to all of KB’s cheezfrenz … with a picture of him in a new snazzy red HABIT bandanna.

I am SURE he’ll do fine in his evaluation, but of course there’s always the chance he’ll decide to do something weird. Like pee on the trainer or something equally naughty.

In the meantime, I’m taking him out to all kinds of places, insisting that he wear his little backpack and new pretty harness (that doesn’t ride up underneath the backpack)…. He’s been VERY accommodating about it all. I wrote the HABIT people a long letter and told them it’s been my dream ever since I first realized what a SWEET cat he is… to get him into a therapy situation. I’m so hopeful that they’ll schedule an evaluation soon.

is okeh. I is focusin’ on teh KB lately. I went to a HABIT meeting (Human-Animal Bond In Tennessee) and I sent in paperwork and dues to get KB evaluated to be a therapy animal!!

I’m very excited, and I’m soooo glad they have a program for therapy animals here. KB’s new vet says he’d be a GREAT Habit animal!

And the folks at the meeting said that the big hurdle for cats is that they don’t like car rides, and they get all stiff and cranky when they’ve just been in the car, so they don’t want to be evaluated or petted or anything. So if you hav ea cat taht “doesn’t mind the car trip” then, they say, “that’s half the battle.” Well, KB *LOVES* car trips and will happily jump into the car ANYTIME to go for a ride.

So I’m really very excited about that. If KB gets a Job visiting people (and he’d even be good with “active groups”, such as schools or an adult day-care situation) … then it’ll get me out of the house too.

In the meantime, I have a bunch of blood tests tomorrow at the doctor’s office (trying to see if there are any obvious WHY’s) and I’m going to UTK to tour the college by following another student around (instead of the lamez0r freshman tour I took which sucked.) These are both very positive things, and I’m looking forward to them. I even bought myself a skirt and blouse to wear, since I don’t have a lot of clothes with me (all my nice stuff is packed int he PODS container still.)

We’ve got our house rented out to some nice folks in Tulsa. I’m offering them a 10% cash-back incentive if they want to buy the house after leasing it for a year. This cuts down on the amount of rent we can use (I’m putting 10% aside in a savings account for them each month) …but it still gives us some cash flow, which is really good.
