Recap of The Lol Arts Show
The Lol Arts show was an awesome success. Thanks to the hundreds of who you showed up, bought tickets and supported us. Thanks to all those who purchased the art, we raised $2114.97 for Partners in Reading in San Jose.
Speshul fanx goes to Marianne Goldin for curating all the art and almost 80 submissions and Kristen Curtis of the awsum Seattle creative agency Wexley School for Girls.
But most importantly, FANX TOO ALL TEH ARTISTSTS who put their heart and soul into their amazing and bootiful work!

I love the wonderful art that was shown. It would be neat to have the opportunity to purchase greeting cards with the images or even reproductions of some of the other pieces. What a great idea to hold an lolcat show! (I can’t speak lolcat well, even though I check this site daily so I didn’t want to embarrass myself) >*|*<

As another of the contributing artisdts, I’d like the record to show that I fulfil all stereotypes associated with artists, including egotism, narcissism and self-importance (although those three things are all very similar).
Yeah, I’m an artist too, but I don’t go around filling stereotypes and making canned statements. Sorry, I come off more harsh than I mean to, maybe. I loved the art, though.. and I’m glad you guys were working for a charity, though I think a kick in the ass would do more wonders for “adult illiteracy” than throwing money at them.
