Seriously, never let your cat in the baby’s crib. I know the vast majority of commenters here care more about cats than fellow human beings, but a cat in the crib could potentially kill the baby via suffocation or infection.
here’s a hint- when my newborns slept in teh bassinet beside my bed, i placed a mosquito-netting designed 2 cover big strollerz over teh top of teh bassinet. i thot this wud discourage any curious kittehs frum hopping in fur a look around. my kittehs never jumped into teh bassinet or later on, into teh uncovered crib. they always purrfurred 2 sleep with each other or me & my husband, never teh kidlets.
ps. cheezpeeps care ’bout lil critters- esp. hoomins! teh photographer never let kitteh n newborn alone in a crib, aifinkso!
now that’s just not true. none of it. and as a mom, i’m offended.
a well-cared-for cat isn’t going to have any infection that will affect the baby, and the stuffed toys and quilts are a much bigger danger to the baby than the cat is. chances are, this cat doesn’t want anything to do with the new baby and will jump out of the crib as soon as the new-baby-and-cat photo op is done. (i know; i’ve done this same photo op)
and think a little before you go making offensive blanket accusations.

Basically, you need to change the icon (avatar) in your wordpress account by browsing through your picture files. Changing it here in your ICHC profile won’t be enough, I think. I don’t remember exactly because I got myself a new icon and a link to my profile in one go and now I don’t remember what you do where. But go to h t t p ://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/profile.php and change your picture there, that should do the trick. Post again if you have problems.

Scarey so much, what hyoomins to do, meanz well bet new momdad. Soft toys not good yet for tiny babeh but very nice fun pounce kitteh. Many years ago my bebeh came, MOM kitteh want bebehs too liek me took babeh toys put in kitteh bed also sock balls, pretend she has bebehs. I say OK, keep toyz I not let giv bebeh away in 8 wks liek you had to. I just haf 1 bebeh know nuffin but kitteh has 12 babehs before me, she knows more, meows tell me when bebeh wants fudz, purz when I feedz bebeh, wash bebeh face Good teach, Thx, kitteh!
Please someone take that child away from those parents. They have their baby living in a Sids-fest of a crib. Ugh. They really should make you get a licence to breed.
Oh please, in a few months that kid is going to be pulling that poor cats tail, screaming at the top of its lungs chasing it around everywhere and never giving the poor kitty a break. Should the parents get rid of the kid when that happens?? The cat is calm and relaxed, cats just dont scratch and bite for no reason – if it didnt want to be there it would get up and move – not bite or scratch. Whoever said that is an idiot and obviously has never owned a cat. I think that cat is amazing for even tolerating a kid sleeping on it – the owners of this beatiful kitty should be very proud of having such a wonderful and tolerant cat. they know him well enough to make the judgement of whether he is safe with a baby, its no-one elses business but theirs.
