sumwon’s got a shortbred recipe availabubble? ai’s typing up a recipe book as a fundraiser for mai cherch, and ai’m short some bred recipes. ai have 3 bred and rolls recipes out of a total of 250 recipes. Duz anyone want to share something wiff me?
Shortbred is a sweet crisp cake/biskit - a tradishunul skottish stuff. Basic recipe is 6 ounces plain flour, 2 ounces castor (fine) sugar and 4 ounces margarine or butter. (sorry, I can’t translate to cup measures) Knead the ingredients together until smooth and silky (you can do it in a food processor). Roll our about 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes. Bake in a very moderate oven (300-350F) for 25-30 minutes

Teh cup an teh nomminess insied an the talk of puddins reminded mii ob dis:
5-MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE (Most Dangerous in the World)
4 tablespoons cake flour ( that’s plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla flavoring
1 coffee mug
Put dry ingredients in mug and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well again.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla essence, and mix again.
(You can also do all the above in a bowl and then pour it in your mug)
Microwave for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake
will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, then enjoy!
