The lols I see on the voting pages which make fun of our “special” friends are hurtful. That kind of teasing and joking toward any other other group of individuals (except maybe blonds) would not be tolerated.

I’m not sure any of us really get heard. My suspicion is that the people who make these kinds of remarks will never read our reactions to them, even if we were to do it seconds later… or if they do, they may find it amusing in the same way that they find their original remarks to be amusing and somehow witty. *sigh*

A lot of the really negative stuff started on the persian video, I think. I was a bit disturbed by the whole atmosphere today, it felt a lot less friendly than usual — not because the behaviour of regulars changed, but because it felt like a lot of newcomers showed up and were, um, not really playing nice.

usually drops the “R” word, causes a stire & then disapparates back to some rock under which he/she/it resides. I try to be tolerant, but the use of the “R” word seems to be a deliberate insult designed to elicit ire.

Very true, from what I’ve seen the short time I’ve been active in the comments. At the very least, the Cheez Wizards should probably be
made aware of it. I suppose we could all try just flat out ignoring anything said by that particular person. Maybe with no reaction, he/she/it will go find a new game to play.

It boggles my mind, though, how anyone can actually choose to spend their time trying to make other people feel bad, for no person gain other than maybe just sadism or an ego boost or schadenfreude. (Personally, I’d rather get an ego boost from making someone laugh or feel better.)
